I love it. In a game last night a guy came up behind me and I turned around a split second before he grabbed me and I countered him. He wasn't happy.

Are you talking about the knife counter? Yeah, I dunno either.

If they knife you from behind, it's a knife kill no matter what. If they try to knife you from the front (and maybe the sides, I'm not sure) you can counter it. When they knife you, just keep clicking right thumbstick.

So I played MP for the first time tonight on XB1. These are my impressions.

Pros

1. It's beautiful.

Cons

1. Larger lobbies + Larger maps is not fun. I hardly found people while on foot on BF 3 and one would think more people would lead to more combat, but no. Half the match I search for someone to shoot at...anyone...anyone..The other half I'm making the long journey across the map to a base only to get shot on arrival. This probably has something to do with not knowing the maps.

2. There are too many snipers.

3. For someone just jumping into the game... the load out screen is very overwhelming. And after a couple matches I still don't know how to change my weapon/gaget etc...or spawn in a vehicle, both very easy to do in BF3.

I could go on and on. I'm hoping this will grow on me as I play. But right now it feels like a step backwards.

I dont care how great the game looks..Its **** if you have a hard time getting into the game and even ****tier if its damn near impossible to meet up with your friends in the game. They need to fix this broken game. Getting booted to the main BF4 screen all the time and never being able to meet up with friends is horrible. Good looks does not make up for a **** personality.

I tried logging in tonight to get some online play as it seems to be the only thing of mine not getting deleted and I couldn't connect to the EA servers. Ended up saying screw it and beating Ryse.

I enjoy this game but they need to patch the ever loving **** out of it. I refuse to play single player as I don't want to lose my progress/dogtags/weapons all over again and I don't really have much choice over wether I can play online or not.

Kinda sad when you can play neither single nor multiplayer.

How'd you manage that? Were you in a tank on the edge of the map while defending bombs in Hardcore Rush? That's how I'd do it.

Managed to get 3 rounds in tonight and only got kicked to the dashboard once. Thankfully it was right as the round ended so nothing lost. I really need to start exploring these maps, I get lost so easily.

For those that have both PS4 and Xbox One, which is the system to get this for? I got both but not sure which one to go with. I hear the PS4 has the best resolutions as Xbox is barely 900p, but how is the performance? The fps? The connectivity for each system. Hopefully I ain't asking for too much

You should be good with either, but they're still working out the bugs, so it won't be truly fixed for a while. You might run into issues no matter the system. The rez is 900p on the PS4 and 720p on One. Both upscaled to 1080p. The differences are going to be minimal there. Personally, I'd get it for the system that has the most friends for you to play with or the system with the preferred controller.

Thanks snappa. I was hearing that the PS4 was 1080 and Xbox One was 900. I'll go with Xbox

Here are my controller reviews:

It's really too close to call.

PS4 controller has tighter sticks but X1 has better grips on the sticks.

MS new controller has the best trigger though.

Shoulder buttons are about equal.

Both are pretty equal in getting the job done.

No winner, both are great.

I don't understand the upgrade thing.. Has anyone done it? I bought the 360 version with china rising on amazon and it qualifies for the 9.99 upgrade to xboxxone.

Thing is id like to keep the 360 version.

I'm seeing that upgrade progress is one way..seems silly but ok. Meaning I'm level 17 on 360.. And would become 17 on xbone.. But then what am I on 360? Back to zero? Seems like a user flow issue EA hadn't considered.

Nah TDM, took an LMG on a ridge set an ammo pack at my side and held the position, a couple of guys came close to getting me, I missed one so he ran at me as I lobbed a couple of grenades and ran up the hill, the grenades missed he made it up to my position but couldn't find me so I ran down with melee attack, very nervous moments as the music played at the end of the match.

Xbox One. Same thing happened on the PS4 as well.
