I know I'll catch hell for this, but hopefully you guys won't keep your hardons for the Avengers all summer or you'll miss out on some pretty good flicks. I loved the Avengers too, but there's no need to ____ on every other movie coming out. And this is directed at no one in particular.

i could say this is better than TF3.
the alien inconsistencies just keep piling and it bugs me though.
they got tough body armor....but they got cheap windows made of plastic!? not even reinforced/bulletproof!? WTF was that about.

I also enjoyed the whole Japanese angle - setting it in Pearl Harbor during RAMSIC (is this a real thing?)

It was RIMPAC, and yes it's a real multi-national Naval exercise (Rim of the Pacific exercise).
The aerial shots of the fleet is the actual exercise, not CG.
