I would agree that their programming overrides their actions at times. But Boomer sabotaged the Galactica and didn't realize it. Tory sought out Cally, manipulated her into turning over the baby to her and then blew her out an airlock - not exactly unconscious actions.

I agree that she won't tell Galen or the others about it though - there's no need, but I'm sure she'll remember doing it.

When I say unconscious actions for a Cylon, I mean wanting to do something that they wouldn't normally do, whether or not she remembers what she did. An unconscious motivation or instinct would be better terms for it.
She might have been motivated to save the baby regardless of whether it's a hybrid or not, but I like to believe she "instinctively" wanted to protect it specifically because it's a hybrid.

I have to say I didn't love the last episode after watching it last night and that's the first time I can say that since I started watching the show. Now a lot of things may have contributed to that not the lease of which is having to go out and DVR it and then watch it when I came home very late and tired. But after sleeping on it I'm good to go again. :lol I did like the ending It just goes with the rest of the show with the plot twists and turns. I was interested to see how high a profile crew Adama let Kara take, even though they said most of them volunteered. The Cylon double cross was good too. I think my biggest problem with the show was the lack of Admiral Adama since he's my favorite character.

the new episode was pretty darn good... i think i'm starting to like Tory more and more. not just because she is showing her cylon attributes, but because she is no longer just being sidelined. i wonder if chief is gonna find out the truth behind callie's death??

I just read that Tricia Helfer will be appearing in a few episodes of Burn Notice. I love that show!

hellz yeah! that was one of the only shows I watched last Summer.
and also, poor Callie.

I think Tory's actions will come back on her.

I really hope Tory get airlocked now. I never really liked her character anyway (liked billy MUCH more), but that was just my final straw with her

Yeah, Burn Notice was a nice surprise last year. But I'm a sucker for anything with Bruce in it.

Back to BSG... watch this clip from the last episode. You can see the constellation Orion in the background.

I thought I saw it, but then I figured I could have been seeing things. Wonder if it has any greater signifigance than just a little easter egg...

Great episode last night. Poor Chief, or should I saw Specialist Tyrell. Things are going to a head soon, can't wait. I watched it really late, did I miss a part, or did Six know that Tigh was a cylon?

Here's some battlestar at NYCC

Yeah, looks like Galen is gonna lose his mind. I am thinking he will do something insane before this is all over. And Tigh hasn't spilled the beans to Six yet, but I am thinking he will.

Either way, this season is starting on a good note. Every episode is crazy and just ramping up the pace. :rock

I wonder whether Tory will convince Tigh and Tyrol to come to her side and embrace the fact that they're cylons? Do you guys think what Tyrol said about Cally was heartfelt or just a rant due to his grief? Tyrol's conversation with the Admiral about his feelings for Sharon will make for a good story line for future episodes because he might try to rebuild their relationship, especially now that he himself is a cylon.

The guy's a good actor and the expression on his face after Adama left made me think that the rant wasn't intended. Perhaps it was a bit of pre-programming coming out calculated to get him off the Galactica. I never saw his and Callie's relationship as he described it there.

And I loved Tigh and C.6 going at it - every time we and Tigh are convinced that she knows, she says something that leads back to her referring to him as a human.

well six said something like that she can help him release or turn off his anger and why would she say that if she didn't know he was a cylon? was she relating that she can do the same to the humans? or was I not really paying attention and misheard her? (which is very possible, I gotta rewatch the episode)

The implication was that since the cylons are based on "you" (meaning whatever Tigh is) then she can help him turn off the anger. I think we're supposed to believe that she's saying she can help a human turn off anger like a cylon does.

Huh, well that makes some sense. I was scratching my head while watching it. Gotta love Caprica six

Serious, if I had known about it I would be there in a heartbeat. REALLY close for you and I'm like 30 minutes away :monkey2:monkey2

They did the show again on Tuesday but Baltar wasn't there, it was Dee as the master of ceremonies. I have to say it really rocked - one of the best concerts I've been to, either rock or classical.
