I was surprised how much I liked this movie. I saw in IMAX 3D, which is the ideal way to see it. There are some great 3D effects. But I was really impressed with how they added dimension to the stories and characters.

Sure a lot of it looks like video game cut scenes, but some of the characters are amazingly realistic - Beowulf, Wiglaf and the Angelina Jolie avatar are very well done. The other women are less realistic for some reason as is Anthony Hopkins as Hrothgar. And Robin Wright Penn is much more attractive than the avatar they made for her - I can't imagine why they didn't just make her a young Princess Buttercup.

I wholeheartedly recommend the film - and see it in 3D if at all possible.

I am planning to see it this week in Imax 3d. Then I will probably see it in Digital 3d to see how they compare.

I can't wait to see this. I have heard nothing but good things. They just opened up a brand new theater here too that plays 3D.

It is nice having digital theatres. Last year at this time, two theatres would have been capable of playing it. Now there are like 7.

Its playing at the Imax here at the Pacific Science Center... I may need to check it out.

Was going to see it Imax at universal city last night, but it was sold out. Ah well, always next week. Hope its good. OH, and how many times does he say: "I...AM...BEOWULF?"

Yeah, I didn't get to see it on Imax, but the 3D in the normal theatres was surprisingly tight.

If you can manage, 3D is the way to go with this movie!

This movie was amazing!!

:rock :rock I'm going!!! :D Was supposed to go yesterday, but it didn't work out with my schedule, so I'm going Friday. I've been wanting to see this for awhile now.

This movie was just awesome. I really enjoyed it, especially with the fantastic CGI and the amazing 3D. Watch it on IMAX, there is no substitute. However, for anyone that is an english lit lover and read the original beowulf poem, be warned because they are significant changes. Otherwise, its a really outstanding movie and you can't go wrong with Angelina Jolie in 3D :drool:drool:drool:drool

It was pretty amazing.
Neil Gaiman did a great job of filling in and rounding out the epic poem.
I think this medium (100% CGI/Film) is better suited for comic book movies
then real actors sometimes. Beowulf couldve passed for the Ultimates Thor.
Couldnt understand what Grendal was saying half the time.
