He's hard to pose? Why is he fragile? He breaks easily?

I tried arching his back backwards and the pegs holding the belt of knives popped off..need to reglue them. The shoulder joints feels fragile. The mechanical arm feels fragile as things can feel like they can break easily.

Hard to pose as it is hard to two hand his sword. His sword is really heavy so he is hard to balance. Dispite all that, he is still awesome.

Thanks for the recommendation Snake! The art really is breathtaking. But I cringe at the thought of starting a manga that may never finish... Percentage wise, how far is the story? Is it like how Berserk is nearing the home stretch?

Vagabond is definitely near the end of it, without a shadow of a doubt. We already know the ending based on the history of Miyamoto Musashi, but the story in the manga is based off a novel on Musashi which somewhat embellishes events to give it some suspense. Let's put it this way, the real Musashi was much more dangerous to the Manga counterpart. He had over 60 duels, and never lost. He was self taught, and after the war ended in Japan in the battle of Sekigahara, all the samurai and ronin had nothing left to do but travel the land and duel with each other. He took the opportunity to seek out the absolute best, and won.

Not really so much in the Manga (I haven't read the novel) but he was also famous for developing his own fighting style, Niten Ichi-ryū which is "the school of the strategy of two heavens as one." Which was focused on using both a Katana and a Wakizashi simultaneously. Wakizashis were basically symbols of being a samurai and would only be used when needed, but he developed a style which would use it as a defensive weapon and use the Katana to be the offensive weapon. He was a genius at fighting, and was the first real person to psychological mess with opponents by showing up to duels hours late, to get them angry and then take them out.

I would also recommend Vagabond, it's in my top five GOAT manga. I have up to volume 11 of the Viz Big editions but I am so behind you wouldn't believe it.

The art is breathtaking, though unfortunately it seems Takehiko Inoue's art has declined in quality just a tad looking at the current chapters. Or it could be the art looks better on paper but it just doesn't have the same depth reading it online. But my gawd, the art in the those earlier volumes will turn your eyeballs inside out.

What's funny is that Inoue planned to finish it towards the end of 2010, but he became sick and took a lengthy break, returning in 2011. The series is supposed to end with a historic climactic duel, though I don't really know where he's going with the story right now. It's likely to finish before Berserk.

If you want to read a manga with the worst irregular chapter releases and hiatuses, ******* has got ya covered. It's actually pretty good, kind of fantasy heavy metal meets dungeons and dragons. But **** me, we're lucky if we get a volume every 3-4 years. Not to mention the mangaka lost tons of his work and then just redrew some of his older content.

I can safely say Berserk will finish before *******, and that's no exaggeration.

I don't think it dipped at all. I think the art kinda starts fairly good, but gets truly astonishing close to half way through. Miura's art is some of the most detailed I've ever seen, where as Inoue's truly speaks in a lot of places. Two different flavors, and I wouldn't pick one over the other.

I'm actually shocked there is someone with art on the same level of Miura. Seems like most manga are doodles when compared to it lol.

It seems that way when you only read the mainstream stuff, but once you develop an interest in the medium you'll discover plenty of awesome talent. Check out Naoki Urasawa and Inio Asano for starters--not action manga, but amazing artists. Better than Miura in my opinion.

Urasawa is a great artist but even then I wouldn't outright say he's better than Miura in that regard. His art doesn't quite have the same level of ridiculous detail as Miura's Berserk (especially later volumes) but his is still very unique and I can spot his style from a mile away.

I have read most of his series and have them on my bookcase. He's truly gifted. I consider Monster to be his best work.

Vinland Saga is another manga you'd like if you love Berserk. It's about Vikings, and the artwork is great too. Not as great as the others mentioned, but not cartoony either.

Also, Blade of the Immortal. Great art.

Just read through the first 20 chapters of Vagabond. Wow I'm really enjoying it. The art is really great and I love how the story flows. I don't even notice how much I'm reading. That's really similar to my experience reading Berserk. Cant wait to see where it goes. I don't think it will have the complexities of Berserk, but it will def have the character development. Those are my first impressions so far.

Matahachi is a tool and Takuan is hilarious.

Sorry to change subject on everyone, so I had received my Guts earlier this week from BBTS and the figure is in great shape except one minor issue the belt studs that hold the chest straps both in the back of the belt were missing when I opened the figure up. I found one of the missing two luckily but cannot find the second one for the life of me. Someone suggested I shoot 3Z cs an email and I did so just waiting on their reply. If someone has an extra that they just used guts for parts I'd be indebted otherwise I need to figure out how to get the missing one replaced.

They really poorly glued these things. The one on the front of mine fell off. Did you full check the box inside and out? BBTS should honor a replacement.

I've checked everywhere even triple checked the area I opened him with a fine comb (not literally) and could not find a second missing stud. One I did find but the second one to fix both back spots is still MIA =(

Just noticed the one strap on the back of his left thigh wasn't glued on right, and another strap keeping the thigh armor attached to his belt is peeling... ugh I'm cursed with this ****.
