Heck I don’t even watch any of the anime except the original so I’m not super picky. Looks just like guts to me. I could say all statues doesn’t look like them but in that case I would have no collection. Ex head is stellar and so awesome with that expression. Can’t wait for armor guts next!

Agree. It's like a more Western stylized look especially with the hyper-muscular anatomy and superhero-like cape. Unless that's your thing, but I'd rather have a statue that's much more accurate especially for the $1,000 price tag.
Details look incredible though!

I didn't bite though because it looks more like a Guts cosplayer to me. His face doesn't look like any of those sculpts.

I think the exclusive head looks awesome. Without that head I would say the same. But for the price I would say it has to be perfect and it isn't perfect.

I kind of wish they didn't go so crazy with the base and maybe that would make it a bit cheaper.

Sadly the way it’s going things will only cost more. 1200 next year for the same size etc.

Armor Guts is the way to go for me.

But I’m gonna grab Ex Griffith first this week on a scheduled plan. Little early but don’t want to miss out on that helmeted portrait.

I almost ordered the Prime Guts statue but passed after seeing it at SDCC. The base is just too much. I can appreciate the detail, but there wasn't any reason to put that much stuff on it. I can see this concept working as a print, but it's way to cluttered to work as a statue for me.

I got the P1 Guts a couple of weeks ago, and I’m still blown away by it. But it isn’t perfect and I do agree that the portraits aren’t totally accurate to the manga in terms of proportions and details. I think First 4 Figures did a better job translating Guts’ profile from 2D to 3D as well as his ferocity.

I wouldn’t mind seeing somebody tackle some custom portraits that are more accurate to the manga actually. But the statue is quality at least imo. I am hoping F4F manages to price their statue significantly cheaper though as I do like what they are doing so far.

Are you honestly just now coming to the conclusion with that spoiler? It's an unspoken truth in the plot that it's the case. I think even Flora said that.

I'm not making fun of you, it's just I find it surprising that someone would only think that now.
