How does he have monkey arms? They look as accurate as the Yavin Luke which did not have the monkey arms.

How does he have monkey arms? They look as accurate as the Yavin Luke which did not have the monkey arms.
Is there such thing as suffering from *PTMALS? I think a few of you guys may suffer from this. Consult your doctor and see if lengthutrin is right for you. You will be seeing the correct length of Luke arms in no time at all with minimal side effects.

I have to admit that I noticed the arms as well. They do look monkeyish, which is disappointing. I even brought up a pic of Jedi Luke from SSC's site and put them side-by-side. I know it's a chop-shop method, but they do look nearly the same length.
As for the negative of re-using the same hand, Josh...
It's not that people want a new hand for every figure. It's that people want Sideshow to ditch the old oversized hand from Jedi Luke, make one that's in better scale, and keeping reusing THAT one. At least, that's the way I took it.
On a positive note, Bespin Luke's head looks less bobblehead-like than Jedi Luke. And I really think the baggy clothes can be fixed with redressing and water treatment.

Why is using the same hand such a big deal? How is that cutting corners? Unless its something totally brand new like Kit, Plo, Maul, etc. Why make a brand new hand for every figure. If it fits with the figure 2 me it's not that big of a deal plus it saves you money.

I would like to see a gun holding left hand on these guys though. So I could go lightsaber in one hand and gun in the other.
It's not only the fact it's used on ALL the non-alien SW line for open hands.
I own them all with the exception of Yavin Luke and try to hide the monkey paw when posing them.
I don't think it's cutting corners as much as it's not brought to their (SSC) attention.
But different size bodies call for slightly different size hands or at least one in better scale.

Well I just hope I dont have any order problems with this one like we did with Obi-Wan. Wish there was more accessories with him. That is kind of disappointing.

Unless they included some of Luke's survival gear and rations from Dagobah, there's not much they could include with this figure.

He does look good. I'm relieved to see the clothes being on the bulky side. My reoccuring nightmare on this one is that he would end up with a bolero jacket like Han and they could take the act on the road as the "Mighty Bespin Bolero Brothers"....good to see that won't happen...

And Josh, yes, I insulted (yet also complimented) a SW figure. Sue me buddy!! How can you say in this pic that he does not have monkey arms?:
Don't get me wrong, I'm a Sideshow lover (sounds funny) but I guarantee you that when we get this Luke, if we line him up to a HT Truetype body or even a SS Michael Myers, Mace Windu, whoever, you'll see that he has monkey arms.

Overall, he looks pretty good, but to me he needs a repaint and a light up hurricane sabre to complete him. I think I would go Battle Damage on this guy for sure so the repaint will justify itself. But that's just me...
