A Les repaint has made Yavin Luke one of my faves (currently have him displayed in the place on honor on my desk).

Yeah, I still maintain there's nothing wrong with the sculpt. It's the paint job that let it down.

Don't suppose you could post a pic of him on display (if you haven't already)?

I really like this figure, but it's old Ben Kenobi that I'm most looking forward to.

I still say we should have gotten an extra headsculpt (al la Asajj) with this expression:

Here is a close up.

Well, I got my 3-5 day notice as well! I just got off the phone with Jennifer at SSC (to let them know I'm sending a money order instead of using my credit card), and she said I should expect him on the doorstep next Friday and that Leia should be on her way to the warehouse pretty soon! Exciting!

That sounds like good news to me. :rock

For the Dagobah Luke guys out there, some weathering and maybe a custom back pack with a Med Yoda would be an amazing custom Fig to have.

Pjam is totally right, there. Get the Bespin Luke, the Medicom Yoda, and the backpack from the Hasbro Dagobah Luke and Yoda set. Luckily I have all of those. Except for the Medi Yoda.:monkey2

I wonder if Luke got ahead of Obi-Wan so they could make sure they got Obi-Wan perfect? Either way, I'm happy to see Luke coming so soon!

I really hope this luke turns out ok. I want him to be real good,i have high hopes.I think i'd pose him with the blaster the most.

Me too. Lightsaber danging at his side with his blaster in hand... except when I have him posed ala Dagobah.

pix, are you going to set bespin/dagobah luke up in a scene/diaroma type pose with the hurricane made luke-vader helmet? im thinking a slightly lit shadow box type display with creepy dark cave like features would be off the scale for luke & the head from a most excellent commission. it wouldnt really have to be all that big to pull off an extraordinary display.

I am intrugued. Whats a shadow box?

well basically what im thinking is a square display or a framed portion that has depth to put a figure in. kind of like whenever you might see collectibles mounted on a backboard but the frame might come out a couple of inches and usually covered in glass. maybe you've seen an american flag mounted like this with some kind of placard that has a little depth to it. well an example that might make you picture it would be how bad moon has his figures displayed....only this would be for a single display such as the luke and you could make it as large or small as you wanted. kind of a 3-d scene. am i making any sense at all?

something like 16"h x 14"w x 6" 0r 7" deep. wood is easy to do and add the cave/swamp features on the backboard and put the figures to the front. savvy?
