Best Gangster movie other than the godfather ?

And the godfather 2 .. which movie do you think is the greatest gangster flick of all time ?.


If it counts which it probably doesn't I would vote Leon personally but otherwise it would probably be Goodfellas or Carlito's way for me.

Scorsese is certainly the king of gangster movies. Although fairly new " The departed " I think if not classed as already will be looked at as a classic gangster movie.
Whats with the lack of good 1/6 gangster movie characters too ?.
We need a hot toys scarface , heat deniro from both robbery scenes , hell theres tons of could be gangster figures.

Godfather is my fav, followed by Goodfellas. Heat and Narc aren't gangster but those are right after The Godfather and Goodfellas.

Easy - Goodfellas! (However, not better than the Godfather Part 1 or 2 as some are saying!)

Donnie Brasco, Untouchables, Casino - all great flicks too. Once Upon a Time in New York was also pretty cool. Scarface, while great, almost seems like a different genre to me. Figures from any of these movies would be great though.

If the Sopranos was included in this list, I would put it in the "All-Time Best Mafia Media Triumvirate", including also The Godfather Part 1 and 2 and Goodfellas.
