Why does HT rock so much?

Thats simple they give us what we want how we want it. Kinda like my Wife is to me (he says from the safe glow of his monitor....)

dark knight for sure with consideration for iron man, judging by the recent batman releases, i think its safe to assume that the new suit and other products will be top notch. Iron man looks sweet but its too early to say its better

because they bombard us with figures right after they announce a line. 4 DK figures and 2 vehicles by the end of the year. 2 ironman figures already. the whole team from aliens plus the power loader. endless predators. unlike some other companies that shall remain nameless and seem to end every line before all the core charactors or at least the fan favorites are completed.

I've owned Scar and Celtic Preds and they are made of a very cheap plastic..not worth best line IMO.

I think that's a bit unfair to say, or not mention, as the case may be. Yes, I can see the humour.

Most people are opting for the Preds and we still haven't gotten the one most all people really want. The rest of their lines virtual consist of only the main character/s.

I have found that their figures are excellent representations of the figures they represent, but do think the dazzle of that, has overshadowed numerous problems with plastics and less than robust construction, resulting in much anguish and disillusionment for those that fall victim to it. Not Hot.

So onto the topic. My most favourite 1/6th figures have material. Cloth to be exact, and that is another aspect of Hot Toys figures I dislike. In their defense many of their figures are items that the 'normal' 1/6th companies shy away from, that just happen to not wear them, such as Robocop, their Endo and the upcoming Ironmen. So they do indeed capture my imagination in that respect. Out of what's left, I'm going for their Pirate line, for the quality and excellence of the costumes. Now where's Barbossa, seeing as someone raised incomplete core characters.

A reliable poster on the toy-world boards just posted the info. Two figures are in development right now...Hellboy himself and Abe. Hellboy is pretty further along development and will feature Hot Toy's muscle body. Abe is still being worked on.

My vote would go to their Predator line.

IMO they are HT's best 1/6 figures on the market today. Sad thing is that I don't even collect them.

The only problem with the HT Preds is that it seems that they are too fragile. Almost every week there seems to be a new thread about how someone broke one of their Preds.


I like the DK figures as well but their still "new" and the "hype" on these figures is still too high to correctly judge them at this time. Also I only have the BB suit Batman so far. My opinion could change in a few months though once I get more figures.

That will be awesome. SS did a good job, but HT can ALWAYS do better.

Hopefully the official news will be announced soon. I'm thinking closer to the release date of Hellboy 2 in Asia. I'm in Taiwan and Hellboy 2 won't be shown until Sept 12 (don't know if it has been released in HK yet).
