As much as I really dig the Universal Monsters (easily a 2nd favorite for me), you gotta respect the fact that Sideshow made Jasons from damn near EVERY MOVIE, whereas other companies have done "Jason conglomerates". I think this shows lots of love for a franchise that keeps churning out flicks that aren't really that great, but fanboys will still go see and support because the character is that cool.

Universal Monsters. Variety of chracters, each one a classic. Obvious love for subject matter in each piece. And they all look fabulous next to each other.

Monsters. That is what pulled me out of the Hasbro haze I was living in and it is still the best overall.

Although I haven't collected that many of them, I would have to Universal Monsters. They have consistently amazed me!!

Cheers,

Brad

Agree 100%. My fav is the New Line Horror, but Universal was just about perfect. And Hellboy,IMO, is perhaps the most underated of SS 1:6 lines. For that I put a vote in for Hellboy.

I voted for Hellboy too - each figure in the line was outstanding - not a single bad one. Its a shame we didn't get a Rasputin - I would have like both origins & modern to go with the Kroenens.

Personally my favorite is THE DEAD but since they weren't listed I gave my vote to the Apes. Although I have to agree with what was said about the Hellboy line...maybe once Hellboy 2 hits we'll get a couple of new figures and hopefully a revisit to Rasputin...

Hmmm, that would make sense. :lol

What did you think of BR?

I liked it. It was kind of like Terminator meets Star Wars to me. For some reason it was REALLY dark in our auditorium. My professor said that he didn't remember it being THAT dark - it was hard to see what was going on in some areas. It actually went along well with what I'm studying in my Intellectual Traditions classes (Descartes and what is "real," etc.). It really gets you thinking about if your memories are real, if you're real, etc.

BTW, we watched the DC version so I guess we missed a narrative in the begining and a "darker" ending.

Back on topic, The Universal Monsters take the cake easily. They practically Built Sideshow.
