Best PS3 games???

Most of what causes motion sickness is when you take away "vision" from any stable peripheral objects. Your inner ear is constantly sending false messages to your brain, but with vision, your eyes are what keeps things in check and tells your brain "no dont listen to the inner ear".

Thus I find it interesting that you get motion sickness even from being on a stable platform and watching a moving tv screen. essentially your inner ear is stable, but your eyes are what is causing you to get sick. interesting.

I have to be even pickier about games than most people because I get dizzy or motion sick more easily than others. This is why most to all First person shooters are out of the question but God of War type games I can handle.

Hmmm. We need more games for the PS3 ASAP! I really bought it mostly for the Blu Ray player though to be honest.

I used to have the same issue, expecially with flying games and FPS. Which I thought was strange because I don't get sick on boats or planes. After I got reading glasses it went away.

Part of it could be the screen of the monitor or TV. Essentially what you are seeing is flashing really fast (which is why most cameras see a weird image when trying to record a TV or computer screen) and so that can cause weird effects with peoples heads making them sick, giving them headaches, and causing strokes. So sometimes it can help to turn up the refresh rate as high as you can, usually the lowest is at like 60hz but you can turn it up to like 80hz.

I find it interesting as well. It has been happening since I was a child. I need to try some of these remedies that have been suggested to see if it goes away.

I don't get motion sickness on planes, or boats so it really might not be motion sickness at all. All I know is that it stinks and I want to get rid of it. It happens when games have no person I can see on the screen so driving games get me a little sick as well. If the camera moves really fast and there is a lot of motion it's over. I have to shut off the system and lay on the floor for a little while. ...I am a whimp.

Hmmm. I should look into this because I have never really needed glasses. It might be time. With age your eyes do deteriorate and I have been meaning to have them checked. Thanks for the tip.

Thanks for the tip- I will have to try that. I really want to be able to play them but it's been an impossibility for a while now. Halo 3 is coming out and it would be nice to play with my fellow freaks.

Please try it and let me know how it works because my other friend is contemplating getting a 360 but wants FPS's that he can't play. I also want to have another Freak to kill when Halo comes out

On another note, does anyone know of any great deals on a PS3 right now? I got a bonus check this week and it's burning a hole in my pocket. I just want a new PS3 (20 GB preferred since it's the cheapest). Don't care about any games or anything right now since I only want it for a BR player at the moment.

Sucks to hear bro, I only ever get a hint of motion sickness when I focus on something very close while in a moving vehicle. I take a few deep breaths and I'm fine. I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't play FPS games, I love 'em!!

Right now, that be the only one. Just wait for Unreal Tournament and Killzone 2 to come out though, that's gonna be the s#!t!

UT3 will be a PS3 exclusive until late 2008.

I have know kids like that. Back in the Genesis and Super Nintendo days, I remember kids from school who couldn't tie their own shoes, but were the best gamers you would ever see.

I'm sure its no different these days.
