Damn. I wonder if I cut a notch in the shelf to rest on the hinge if that would be safe...
too low powered ?

They're 1W LEDs, so they're not low power. They'll be crazy bright in fact. They seem to come with a driver (transformer) that accepts 220V, your mains power - I hope it comes with an enclosure for it. That transformer along with the LED sound like they may consume 5w total - it's not very clear because most of the specs are in Chinese.
Angle the strips so they're pointing into the cabinet.
I switched over from Vassbo doors to Tombos and the lighting dimmed a bit because there are no borders on the Tombos to bounce the light off from the top right LED strips. Is there a way to brighten up the shelves other than putting another LED strip in the back opposite the front middle one, or putting in a mirror insert on the back of the shelf? The mirror insert I want to avoid because I don't like to see "double" of my display, plus it makes photographing from directly in front complicated due to the reflection. Was wondering if there was a cheap option to fix this, but if not it's cool because the lighting is still alright, just not as strong and casts a bit stronger shadow.
This is a very easy thing to do also. You can buy triangular strips of balsa and mount those to the top with the light strips attached and you'll get more of an angle and be pointing forward and down on your items instead of just straight down.
