Besides modding, what would be different?

I don't know, controls, the overall mood? People playing Wolfenstein back then were really hardcore players, consoles have hardcore players too, but the game will be flooded by noobs.

Don't get me wrong, I love my PS3, and I play more on it than on my PC, but I often find multiplayer on PC a lot more "serious" and rewarding than on consoles, at least on FPS games.

Plus that game was extremely well balanced and it had a je ne se quois feeling...

I do agree that XBox live, etc will have more idiots than online PC. But I think some of what you're 'remembering' is going through a nostalgia filter. It was an amazing multiplayer experience, to be sure, but there were still plenty of TKing idiots and general buffoons.

And, of course, that one guy that would just sit there hitting the "Defend the objective!" hotkey over and over and over.

I'm actually re installing RTCW right now... Let's see how the how's the MP after all this time.

Let me know what you find. I've been tempted to check out MP again, but I assumed it would be a dead scene.

I loved playing this on the Xbox back in the day. this game is what got me addicted to online game, and eventually led me to playing Day of Defeat and Call of Duty 2.

Call of Duty : Black Ops 3.

Inspired art design? Looks like a bunch of metal factories and call of duty warehouses right down to the way he holds his knife. The mechs, driving in cars, what in the name of **** were these guys thinking? :lol

Agreed.

Also, I got sort of bored watching this, so I don't think that's a great sign.

I know, me too, the only part that I thought was interesting was with that gun that apparently cuts through metal and it seems like the shooting mechanics are kinda fun, but every single other thing is just blah.

:lol If you ask me it looks more like Killzone, but Killzone looked fun.

I thought that looked cool for half a second then he just fires a large gun through it and gives away his position and you're like well why didn't he just stand up and take that shot and then crouch and save like 30 seconds? :dunno :lol

I mean I've snuck around in alot of games and never needed to waste time doing something like that, what benefit is there, you cut a hole and toss a c4 into a room? Like the guys inside aren't going to see a large chunk of the wall fall out?
