Better Call Saul

Avoided this thread as I have only seen the first episode.

On the whole I really enjoyed it and Saul is a great stand alone character, as I knew he would be. My own niggle would be the introduction of Mike and Tuco. It felt a little rushed and contrived if I am honest. I just wish they would hold back on the Br Ba cameos until the show establishes itself on its own merits.

What if they show more scenes of Saul in the present time and he sees Walt on the news. What if he didn't die and when the cops got him they took him to a hospital Ok, that's crazy talk...I'll leave now

If Gilligan is ever hard up for money, he'll do a BB sequel. Jesse could shave his head, call himself "Eisenberg" and build his own meth empire in order to fund Brock's college education.

Potshots... me? Interesting, because that word has several definitions. My favorite is , "a shot aimed unexpectedly or at random at something with no chance of self-defense." It's my favorite because not only does it reminds me of the Storm Troopers and how they have no defense with their "armors" made out of toilet paper, it also reminds me of the "very heavily armored" AT-ATs walker from ESB, and how they suddenly explode for no reason after you knock them down

It'd be great to see Walt and his family in a very, very brief cameo, as I mentioned before. I don't want Walt to have any role, even a very minor one, in BCS.

I don't think Walter should figure prominently in any episode/story arc. However, it would be cool toward the end of BCS's run to have Jimmy/Saul sitting in a restaurant for an important meet, for example.

He's fidgety and nervous because he's in deep with the mob. He glances toward a family sitting a few tables over. He, and we, see Walter celebrating his 49th birthday with Sky and Junior. They all seem happy.

Walt doesn't deserve such a positive (or is it bittersweet?) sendoff. But Sky, chain smoking in her kitchen, and Junior, riding the school bus in his camo pants, trying to repair their lives, do.

If they were planning to end the series with his flash-forward that they began it with, I would think he would cross Walt's path in some fashion, but perhaps they decide to make the "jump" happen at that first meeting?

Is this airing tonight? I don't see it on my TV Guide. I usually watch this after Walking Dead with Talking Dead following it but it seems to jump straight to TD tonight.

Got to say the first 2 episodes were awesome. Very excited for Monday! This show really has a great vibe and very entertaining. I loved Breaking Bad and I love this show as much!

Solid but unexpected. Didn't think Saul would be solving Scooby Doo mysteries.

Getting a clearer picture of Chuck which is nice.
