really too bad,but for a season Finale too much time was wasted on Chuck and his phobia IMO.Burn Chuck burn...

No Mike at all...

Nacho short lived,Hector's eyes were open when they wheeled him to the ambulance.Nacho should have gunned him down.

Gus knows?

Jimmy's good deed, what a waste except to explain why he becomes Saul Goodman.

until next season.

So should we be wondering for a year if Chuck actually died?

As much as I like McKean's performance I don't really care about what happens to Chuck anymore. Sad thing is he will most likely make it out and give us another season of his crazy ********. The way Howard handled him was the high point of the season finale.

I thought the finale was great. I can't see the HHM story going on, so I'm hoping Chuck died in the fire.

If Chuck dies, does Jimmy inherit his fortune? Chuck has millions from the HHM payout not to mention his own personal funds. It would be funny if Jimmy got his hands on it and managed to blow it all.

It'd be funnier if Jimmy became part owner of HHM. No buyout. Just inherited partnership. Buyout might actually not execute, depending on the terms of the partnership in the event of the death of a partner.

But ... in all likelihood, Chuck's ex-wife would get his stuff. No way Chuck is sloppy enough to die without a will. And ... no way he leaves much, if anything, to Jimmy. Wouldn't make sense ... and Gilligan & Co. aren't going to do something that doesn't make sense for the character just to set-up Jimmy inheriting millions or part of HHM.

The other big question is do we get Ring-a-ding Don Hector next season?

After the finale aired, they showed the number to the national suicide prevention hotline. I kind of hope Chuck went thru with it. Can't stand his character. Loved him getting sent out of HHM like he did.

Great season ender. Some good cliffhangers to look forward to next season.

I've thoroughly enjoyed Chuck's story line, character and dynamics between him and Jimmy. I'll miss him if they've actually done him in. The show is rarely that straight forward though so I expect to see him again.

Yeah I doubt that he'll be gone next season. More then likely though I think he'll be put in a mental hospital for his own good or Jimmy may end up being his legal guardian....lol. That'll be fun and messed up, just what jimmy needs in his life.

Pretty sure it's been confirmed in interviews that the character is dead.

I don't think Chuck is a cliffhanger. Pretty sure he's dead. I don't recall them ever head-faking a death in either Better Call Saul or Breaking Bad. BCS isn't The Walking Dead. They don't seem to abide the "if you haven't seen a corpse, he's not necessarily dead" rule that TWD does.

And, having Chuck and Jimmy's last conversation end with "You never really mattered to me" certainly would drive the story forward. Plus, the ramifications for Howard will be interesting. After caring for him for so long, he gets backed into a corner and checkmates him out of the firm -- trying to do what's best for HHM -- and Chuck kills himself that night. Undoing all of that doesn't make sense.

Vince Gilligan has derisively called head-fakes like that "schmuck bait". I'm sure McKean will be back for flashbacks. BCS jumps around the timeline a lot. But, I'd be very surprised if Chuck survived the fire.

Finally finished the season. I thought it was great. Yeah, I guess Chuck’s not getting out of that one. Maybe if it was accidental and he was in the opposite side of the house from the fire, but he’s right there.

At first, I was noticing that it was the end of the episode and it was just Jimmy and Kim talking, I was thinking, “wow, I guess the season is going to end kinda…nice”. Yes, some things up in the air (Salamanca), Jimmy and Kim’s future, but no big drama. But then the Chuck scene came up!

I agree that the fallout of having Chuck tell Jimmy that he never really mattered as the last exchange between the two will drive the drama forward next year. Maybe Chuck, knowing he was close to killing himself, said all that to actually be nice so Jimmy wouldn’t care that he dies? Or maybe he was a jerk to the end. But honestly I think Jimmy shouldn’t feel too guilty. He did what he could to try and make amends. HIs conscience should be clear. But when Chuck was saying it, wow, what horrible things to say to your own brother, especially when the brother was trying to make amends.

I have to say that I’m liking this show much better than BB. I liked BB and thought it was a good show, but I find myself more involved and invested in these characters more than the BB characters.

Everything Chuck did in relation to Jimmy at the end was pretense. He made it look like he was enjoying a calm and prosperous evening. Listening to jazz with the lights down low and drinking wine. I think the things he said to Jimmy were part of that pretense.

By the way, the actor they hired to play young Chuck was fabulous casting. Looked just like a younger version of him. He even sounded like a young Chuck!
