Of course it's dated, the first film is a decade old. :lol

Macy Gray? The "Hero" song? That's like .00001 of the film. :lol

This captures the spirit of those films more than your patronizing post,

my post is a direct answer to Celtic's post sir.
Do not take my post out of context sir.
I am comparing how dated Spiderman is to Nolan's batman will be in the future.
He is saying people won't be able to connect with the theme but I think that is the real patronizing part because people will connect with the character of Bruce Wayne no matter what year is.

you are taking my post out of context.

Nolan makes things more grey, then straight black and white.

But regardless, it's mostly in response to the escalation with the military, wire tapping to find terrorists, the 1%, the whole wall street protests...ect.

It's a series that is perfect for now, but i'm sure how the future will handle them.

I think you're making his films more grey than they are. There more layers to Nolan's Batman than those few things.

It's not as black and white. Batman is not always the good guy, Two-Face isn't the straight bad guy, ect....

It's true. Prove me wrong.

I don't see why you took so offense to that. :lol. I didn't say it's a bad thing. It's just a thing. Star Wars can be enjoyed by anyone, any age, the themes are so basic, any human can get. TDK..cannot. A 6 year old will not enjoy TDK. :lol

Had a hard time with this as I love both trilogies so much. But Star Wars was my childhood so yes, age is a factor. I love Batman more than any fictional character, but Star Wars is on another level of entertainment. It is above film as even a medium. The richness of the universe, the story of good versus evil on an almost timeless level. It takes struggles of people existing in a far off time and galaxy and manages to mirror the struggles of almost anybody who tries to be a good person.

I pick Star Wars. It was and is my version of the bible. Doesn't make me love Nolan's version of Batman any less. It is my favorite version of the character on screen and Begins is my go to film for whenever I need a pick-me-up.

and I think you might be wrong seeing how many youngsters refer to the original Star wars trilogy as the "boring ones" while the prequels are the "Awesomest ones " :lol:lol:lol

30 years later, I still love SW. Watched ESB & RotJ today as a matter of fact (thanks to Harmy!). In 30 years I won't give a shat about Nolan Batman movies.

That's because their parents didn't raise them right.

Besides a 6 year old now might not even like Nolan's batman lol.
they would love spiderman so I don't really know what any of this means
I don't think Kids are a good indication of how good a movie is :lol

How is an opinion true? Facts are true. Opinions are opinions.

It's funny that you think I got offend. :rotfl

You're giving people too much credit. So Star Wars is for people who don't want to think and Nolan's Batman is for the intellectuals?
