If you're worried about the detail don't be. I have this piece and the Big Chap maquette and I can tell you both are equally detailed!

I'd like that side by side comparison. If this Alien statue is the same size as that Predator piece, then it's going to be too small for my tastes. We are talking, what, 1:7 scale? I had the original Predator statue a long time ago and didn't keep it for very long. It was just too small for me, despite the details.

i will be happy with a 1/5 scale , so i can group them in a aline collection, if they are the same scale , count me in for the alien, alien warrior and wolf predator, have the classic on pre order , will skip the elder..

Mine has arrived! I have to open it later though.

I noticed the Shipping box looks like it might be for the regular version but it has the word exclusive and the correct item # both on a label glued to the box...like they had to repurpose a regular box. Hopefully the right stuff is inside!

This is the first piece I absolutely cannot afford. Looks beautiful though.

Is it likely to sell out at 1250 pieces?

This will take a long time to sell out, maybe a few more years, at least two, but that's my opinion. I feel Sideshow made a cash grab (kinda) by upping the edition size on this one from the previous release, as that Aliens version sold so well even after a 150 or so edition size increase and now commands well over retail. This one, although my favorite version of the creature, is just not as on par as the previous Aliens version. Oh well...

Well, I just opened my Big Chap since I had a little extra time before going to work.
Crack on the right side of the dome, his left foot hovers about a half inch off the base, and the tail comes in contact with the base preventing me from pushing it in all the way.

Pics to come in the morning when I have more time....

Sorry man. Mine showed up ok. I thought it was a little wobbly / front heavy but putting the tail on fixed that lol.

It's a hit and miss, as always. I remember a few of us had issues with the Dog Alien's peg holes being drilled too close together so he required a bit of a pinch to slide onto the base.

Still a great statue line, nevertheless. I'm glad I sold off my HT Alien figures for these; they're the best representations of these characters at this pricepoint.
