Looks about 1/7. If it were 1/5 or 1/5.5, it would be about the same size as the old Kenner figure, which I somehow doubt given the $250 price tag. I've got the Resurrection warrior and it's about 1/7 - 1/6.5. Too small to be in scale with a 12" figure, but still allot bigger than the diorama pieces.

They're not in the same scale.

These new dios are bigger than the older Alien/Predator dios.

I'm on the fence with this one. It is missing the tubing/hose leading back from its lower jaw. It has a strange, protruding ridge running down the front of its chest and it looks like it is wearing sweat bands around its wrists for some reason (not movie accurate) Maybe its just me, but parts of the creature look very smooth and lacking detail. The chestburster exclusive is not very well done/detailed either in my opinion. However, I do like the base design which fits in with the movie and the price on this piece is affordable for most.

Despite those drawbacks I still ordered the Ex. I'm highly disappointed with the 1:4 maquette, and I need another Big Chap in my collection other than the SS Diorama and HT's 1/6 figure.

Thinking of passing on this one even though Alien is my favorite creature and film of all time. That little burster just is not cutting it for me, he looks not very good. Thought he might be the tipping point for me, but now the opposite has occurred. Holding off for now...
