As bad as that sounds... I agree ! The freshly opened figures do smell very nice.

I'm trying an alternate pair of trousers for Twelve. I think the cut is better although the color is maybe a bit bright :lol even for his new (one of his new) series 9 looks. If I decide to use these I'll give them a quick dip in a darker blue dye. I'm also just about to order the Wild Toys zippered hoodie because I suspect it will be a a better fit with a more to scale zipper than the one I'm using.

In terms of the stock sculpt needing a repaint, well, almost any stock sculpt will look better if it's repainted by someone who knows what they're doing and I'm sure we'll start to see some repaints soon. My main problem with the paint is the eyeline. It's very hard to make Twelve look like he's looking at something that's not either straight ahead or up in the sky off in the distance and it's pretty annoying when you're trying to take pictures of him looking at something in any other direction.

That looks fantastic:clap

Same here. They said they didn't know what happened with mine but are investigating with the shipping department and it will be shipped out today or tomorrow so that's good. I emailed them on the weekend so about 3 days repose time. Not great but not bad, I suppose. They're customer service probably get hit pretty bad each time a new figure releases and that understandable. I've had longer waits from Sideshow. Hopefully Matt will be here Friday!

Sounds like the same thing that happened to mine!! :lol Anyways I've had a new tracking number and this time it has been picked up from BCS!! They are based not too far away from me so hopefully he should arrive on Friday. :yess:

The smell of new plastic...one of the best aspects of collecting these things :lol

I opened mine up again, and there is only that new figure smell.

:rotfl :exactly:

Got a reply that my stuff will be shipped tomorrow, no explanation why it hadn't been shipped already. And economy means I'll have to wait at least another week. :gah:

So who killed the openness of the BCS fan page on Facebook? While the general audience there had some rather...ahem...interesting characters participating, it was the only way to get some occasional behind the scenes stuff from BCS.

Those trousers are good mate, can I ask where you got them?
He's looking very 12. You are right on the hoddie zipper, the wild toys one is better, I have the Hot Toys Stark mechanic on mine which is good too

Thanks! Yeah, I'm definitely going to upgrade the hoodie. Since the Wild Toys one will have to be dyed anyway I was thinking about doing that one gray and then if I want a black one, getting the Tony Stark one, so I'm glad to know that is a good fit.

I'm afraid the trousers might be hard to track down. I'm pretty sure I got them from Toysquare but years and years and years ago. I'm pretty sure they are originally from Japan and I honestly never thought I'd get a chance to use them because how many times are the perfect trousers for a project super-skinny with kind of a strange square crotch in a bright tartan? :lol

It's strange that some have tracking numbers and others don't, and that overseas customers get the figure in a couple of days and UK/ Euro customers are still waiting.
My situation was silly. I had the teacking number, but it never showed up until a week had passed. To add insult to injury, I found out exactly where the DHL holding building is... It's about a 10 minute walk from my dad's house. So I could have walked over to pick it up after all ... ;-)

Anyways, it does mean that I still have the anticipation of the arrival of the figure - expecting it next Friday.

And, it's still very cool to see the variety of photos that are coming in from all the owners on this forum. Cheers for those.

:exactly: The shipping with this one has been strange to say the least! Hope everyone that's still waiting gets their figure soon. Never had any issues with any of the other figures I'd ordered from them, but to their credit though BCS sorted it all out for me really quickly.

Mine is currently with the Courier so will be here at somepoint today!! :yess:

Excuse me a cruel chuckle hahahaha..... Mine was "with courier" all day Saturday. I think he got lost! Haha!
I'm sure your figure will turn up. No, this is nothing to do with BC, but their courier service provider. It seems that BC honored all ( most, sorry Liz) of the departures on time. Then of course it's over to the couriers. Obviously the overseas couriers are more reliable than UK ones. Just a thought: maybe they should use the overseas couriers for UK customers, as it will be quicker to get to the U.S. then back again, than it would for the one way trip!
It's like my one way trip ticket on the train ( when I was in Scotland) cost twice as much as the return trip ... I couldn't figure that one out either!

^ :lol I keep thinking of this quote with regards to my figure getting here..

"My journey is the same as yours, the same as anyone's. It's taken me so many years, so many lifetimes, but at last I know where I'm going. Where I've always been going. Home. The long way round"

The last part is definitely applicable!! :lol

Too true. The trick is to make sure you get there in the end. In the case of this figure, I think the delay will be worth the reward.
Unlike any other figure in the BC Who line, I haven't seen a bad photo yet. No offense to the pics of previous figures, but sometimes they don't photograph well.
I took the best photo of the 1st Doctor that I could for a friend, but he remains adamant ( not the singer ) that it's a bad likeness... Think it's a great figure.
Each of these photos looks good, so I'm expecting a stunning 11th / 12th Doctor. Technically I've seen mine. My dad checked it out before posting it on. Well he took a picture of the feet, such as his photography skills are, and sent it to me. Now there's a thought: email the figures to us as downloadable attachments. Now I'm just getting silly.

:lol

Unfortunately for me I had these exact same issues with the additional heads and with the Weeping Angel, so for me it seems to be a standard thing now. It's already starting to grow a bit wearying, really.

Honestly, at this point I'm not even sure if I'll pre-order the next release. I'll undoubtedly almost definitely still buy it, but why give them my money so far ahead of time, if that support and loyalty doesn't go both ways? Especially now that they have a US distribution deal in place again. I mean I have a ton of stuff already pre-ordered with them, so they have plenty of opportunity to win me back around and change my mind, but unless the next incentive is a must have I might take my future purchases via another route instead. Seriously considering it, anyway.

Got my figure finally!! :yess: He really is an awesome looking figure - well worth the (extended) wait.

Hope everyone who is still waiting gets theirs soon :)

At least everyone being happy with it so far means it is clearly well worth the extended wait. :)
