I get my stuff from Taobao here in Shanghai. Various bodies available from 60rmb to 300+. I got a great TT muscle bod for a Terminator bash with the spare head that came with the original release. He was in the 300 range tho.

Yeah there's a few English language Taobao sites that act as middleman so you can search and purchase from Taobao without knowing the language, but I haven't used any of them before, so I have no idea how reliable they are. Might bare investigating at some point, though.

Got mine today, finally. Certainly can't fault them on the delivery speed once it got on its way to me. And it was certainly worth the wait, too. Funnily enough, I was particularly impressed with the Capaldi head, in person. I mean it already looked pretty good in the photos I've seen, but I still wasn't expecting it to look quite this good. I think it might be one of those sculpts that just doesn't quite photograph as well as it tends to look in person, much like the Hartnell, to my mind.

Regardless, once I finish futzing the kitbash 'Time Heist' 12th Doctor, and the series 7 11th Doctor to my liking, and get them both on display, I can get back to trying to finish my other two kitbash figures, with the Smiling Tom and Stetson Matt heads. Should keep me occupied until the next Doctor release or pre-order rolls around. In the meantime it's just nice to have five different Doctors on the shelf now. And Eccleston on the horizon very much looked forward to, as well.

Cheers. I really do think they continue to improve in most regards from release to release (still not too keen on their chosen shirts, though).

I guess that's also a funny sort of benefit for those of us who like the less widespread popular Doctors. If they ever do get around to them, chances are they'll turn out as good as we could have ever hoped for, given that most kinks will have been long since ironed out by then. So at least they'll likely prove to be well worth the longer wait it took to finally get to those Doctors. Or at least that's how I hope it plays out, anyhow...

Mind you, right now I'm still just hoping that we get the entire lineup eventually. Everything else is gravy as far as I'm concerned.

Made a new waistcoat and pants for this guy, a little more accurate to how he looks(i still might swap out his shoes for a pair of docs). I also made him a wee logo stand. A few more tweaks here and there and he'll look fine till i have the official 12th dr in hand. It's just one glorious headsculpt and(as said a million times of many sculpts) pics really don't do it justice. In the words of Solon.. 'what a magnificent head'... 'superb head'..

Thanks,will probably go with the hoody look like yours once the official 12th dr is released. The checked pants are the hardest part to find. Love the ones on yours,are they custom?

I found them on eBay, they had to be altered quite a bit tough. And I may still do a bit more work on them!

I tried the joker trousers on my 4th Doctor. I tried to dye them a yellow/brown, the dye didn't take very well though. Must be mainly polyester! I was after a season 17 high waist checked trousers look!
The eBay ones are great and just need slimming down quite a bit.

For a thread with Matt Smith and 11 in the title, I'm pretty sure all the pages since the figure was released have been surprisingly dominated by Peter Capaldi and 12 Maybe it's because the Matt Smith figure is almost too good so there's not much reason to make any changes while just having the Capaldi head means anyone who wants to do a Twelve bash has to use their imagination and there is so much more room for character interpretation. And on that note, here's my revised Twelve:

I finally got my Wild Toys hoodie and the scale is so much better than the one I was using before. I'm also trying out some new trousers --well, they're actually the first pair I had him in, but I took a lesson from the guys above in the thread and narrowed the legs into proper drainpipes. I also took a sharpie to the yellow threads of his not!Docs so that everything is black. The head has been repainted.

The exact same same figure from the neckpost down, but with a different repainted head. (And also my repainted Four). The hoodie is photographing with a distinctly blueish tint, but is actually a dark charcoal gray. I have the same problem with the colors of Four's scarf being slightly shifted which is a bit annoying since they are accurate in-person.
