Gregg, although I love both sculpts I would probably do something I haven't done for years - make it a priority to buy two Sherlocks, one to keep one to open; or possibly display one with coat one without.

You say it's early days - any chance of a rough ETA for the PPO? I love it when I can budget ahead, and I will need to do that. Thank you.

The sculpts truly do look fantastic, but as much as I like the show, these just don't fit in my budget or my collecting priorities personally.

I'm sure all of the fanatical Sherlock fans will be well pleased, however. And I definitely look forward to seeing how everything comes together.

These are expensive figures and there would have to be some pretty major incentive to splash out all that money at once by buying both at the same time. And more than the shipping cost of a figure within the UK (for me).

I am not a numbered-LE-keep-it-mint-in-box-type collector, so those options would have no appeal to me. However, if buying both as a set knocked a sizeable chunk off the price of buying them separately, then I would seriously consider that.

At the moment, with the prices as they are likely to be, I am torn. I would love both, but can't afford them. So, I could just buy a Sherlock, but what is a Sherlock without a Watson? So then I don't buy either.

It is almost an argument for selling the set together first, so that those who have to be the first kids on the block to have something new have a reason to buy. Then staggering the sales of the two, individual figures to give people who need to save up (like me) a chance to stabilise their bank accounts between releases and get both.

Ah, now, I am not a completionist and I am quite happy to have my favourite Who but forgo the rest and have a Joker with no Batman. But Sherlock without Watson is like having a bride without the groom. You just can't do it.

And those sets are sold with months between releases, giving the completionists a chance to recover before the next one comes out. If BCS choses to do the same thing with Sherlock and Watson, this gives us penniless folks a chance.
