I don't know of any good customs, sounds like a question for Darklord Dave. Was that 'Detective' figure we saw the other day meant to be a Downey Jr Sherlock custom? It looked like arse.

I'd love to see a Basil Rathbone Holmes figure.

Are these the first time you're reading the stories? If so, I envy you! I wish I was reading them for the first time.

im surprised a smaller 1/6 company hasnt done a classic Sherlock, seems like easy money if done right, i would get one for sure. used to watch Sherlock wayyy back on pbs when Holmes was played by Jeremy Brett. would luv a classic style fig with a headcsculpt similar to Jeremy.

yup first time reading them! :)

From Gregg Andrews about 40 minutes ago...

Ive been speaking to China today and we will be seeing the first production pieces tomorrow. We then will be receiving them next week. We plan to show the results very soon. We also plan to show them at Birmingham Comic Con on the 22nd and 23rd of March. So if you want to see them in the flesh and around for that weekend then come along :)

Yes! First production samples are coming in late March and are supposed to be at Birmingham ComiCon.

How long is it typically from production samples to shipping to us? Is it somewhat close? I can't wait!!

I'd like to know this too... do 'production samples' mean production has finished, is starting, or is happening now? If its finished then I'd guess a couple of months.

lol I didn't realize they hadn't even received the first production samples yet !

Guess we're still 6 months away from having these in hand !

It would be great if someone who knows about the production process could explain how long every part of it takes.

I just searched on BCS's facebook page and I noticed that with the 10th Doctor and Amy Pond it took 2 months from the time they got the production sample back to the time they were ready to ship. The 11th Doctor took only 1 month in between sample and shipping. So hopefully we're looking at late April/early May.

i think we were told it would be around april that they shipped, yeah.

im sooooo close right now to enough funds for my Sherlock, soooooooo close! scrambling to sell some shirts and get a freelance job goin for the final bit needed. very excited to see the production samples on display. will help ease the wait or make it worse! ;)

Wow... glad I gave up collecting Indy stuff a few years ago, a wait like that would kill me.
