Hi David because Sideshow have taken them out of thier own stock to replace them. The factory is making replacement heads as it was a factory error on some heads and they will be shipping them directly from the factory to the customers who have had the issues.
Hi Greggo, so they're opening figures and popping the heads off and shipping the heads to customers? Or did they have replacements at the onset?
We believe they are popping the heads off and sending replacements. They have not been sent any replacements they may ordered an amount to cover thier preorders as well as additional stock but I’m not sure. They tell us how many and we ship them we don’t know how many are actual confirmed orders.
What’s clear and apparent here is that Big Cheif never really had the earned trust of the customer. And now it’s worse...
They need to ADDRESS the issue publically with their clear steps for improvement for the next time if they want a hope in hell at profiting here long term. If you look here or their Facebook it’s so much rage. Not typical forum nitpicking... customer rage.
And I’m just talking about the Q.C. issues here. Never mind the design issues.
This makes a difference. I had zero intention of buying from big cheif ever but they unfortunately got my most coveted line so I did . And after this it makes me want to buy characters I need less. If it was hot toys, blitzway or even qmx I’d have gotten solitaire and the baron. But nope.
They are lucky I like Moore more than I dislike them but that’s not enough to grow or sustain a business, big Chief needs to earn back their customer trust. If the figures were all top notch and I didn’t have to do a bunch of work on them or worry about QC issues I’d buy every damn one.
Again where do you get your facts from? How is it worse? It’s far from being worse. If you are taking you fact finding from this forum than sadly you can’t be further from the truth. Can you tell me how many we have sold? How many are faulty? How many we have left in stock? How many more orders we are getting? Overall the huge amount of support we have had on this line so far?
So you had a problem with your figures which we are more than aware of but why haven’t you contacted us if it’s so bad? Why haven’t you asked for a full refund? Why is it so important to you in constantly having a pop about them and us? Surely if they are that bad you would ask for your money back which you were more than welcome too?
If you choose not to collect this range that’s totally up to you that’s more than fine, we always look at ways to improve each of our figure releases and we have huge plans for James Bond and thankfully the sales are indeed showing it. As for the negativity which you claim is getting worse certainly not effecting people from buying and enjoying them.
I think the absolute biggest issue here is that we were flat out lied to. Those of us that contacted BCS about the nose rubs were told replacements were on the way and would be in stock January 8th. That date came and went and no replacements were sent. Then weeks later we are told the factory is making the replacements and they have not yet shipped. What was this January 8th date we were told and what, if anything, arrived on that day? This is the biggest issue I’m having right now. I was liked to at least once officially about the replacements so I’m a little apprehensive to believe anything from BCS anymore. Trust is a fragile thing and so far they have done nothing to repair the damage they done to our trust. Just smoke and mirrors and empty promises.

Even if this is true, we should have all been personally emailed immediately once it was realized you were given incorrect information from the evil, incompetent factory. When BCS doesn’t update us promptly with changes to what they told us, we have nobody to blame but them. BCS seriously needs to start owning their mistakes rather than always pushing the blame to someone else like THE FACTORY. If this factory is this bad, I’d make them issue the replacements and never use them again because they are making BCS look really bad based on this whole fiasco.

Why is the factory replacing the heads and shipping them to customers if they have not taken responsibility for this error? I’m interested to know how many factories do you think make high end collectibles in China? Honestly it’s not as many as you think, if I was to tell you it’s less than 5 I’m sure you won’t believe me but that’s true. We can’t simply change a factory as there is not any others that do this type of product. Our factory is being used by many other companies even HT. HT take priority as they do mass quantities not limited runs. If it was our mistake we would own up to it. But again you are claiming we are lying and stating even if it was true, I’m telling you as the head of product and design that this is very much the case, but again everything is being replaced and everyone with this problem will have a new head/heads, we have said that from the start and the proof will be in the pudding when you receive them which of course you will. No one has been ignored nothing is going to be ignored.
I'm reluctant to weigh in here in case I get called 'nasty' again by someone I respect. But I'm afraid your critics are absolutely right and your fan club has got it wrong. If you use the same factory as Hot Toys and numerous other well respected companies then why are your products so much worse than theirs? It must be what they're getting from you to work with. Why don't they respect you enough to do better work for you?

They clearly can't. You often find poor or non-existent performance management in family run businesses.
Ray, Buttmunch, Underworld are all providing desperately needed honest feedback to BCS. They're being far more helpful than the people singing 'everything is awesome'.
You posts were nasty. You have demonstrated time and time again your inability to express yourself with tact. Instead you resort to cheap and divisive tactics that attempt to over simplify the situation. Perhaps you should follow your initial reluctance? Good sense is only good if you heed it.
