I'm reluctant to weigh in here in case I get called 'nasty' again by someone I respect. But I'm afraid your critics are absolutely right and your fan club has got it wrong. If you use the same factory as Hot Toys and numerous other well respected companies then why are your products so much worse than theirs? It must be what they're getting from you to work with. Why don't they respect you enough to do better work for you?

HT are mass not limited so the huge numbers they the factory for manufacturing takes priority. Not all HT figures are made in the same factory. We are looking at working with the factory on improving our eyes. HT eyes are the best on the market we know how they make them but due to the huge scrap rate doing any figure other than mass is sadly not even possible so we have to find other solutions to achieve this. So five to seven people on here are completely correct and the thousands of people who own these products are wrong? Have you or do you own any of the figures on here? Because you seem to be vocal about our stuff, especially if you don’t own anything?

Please quote anywhere anyone has said anything remotely similar to “everything is awesome”.

But no, you are just being your typical **** stirrer. All hot air with nothing to actually offer.

It's s forum, everyone comes here to talk and learn. Except those who are apparently perfect. But you're entitled to your opinion of me. I certainly don't feel undermined by it.

They clearly can't. You often find poor or non-existent performance management in family run businesses.

Ray, Buttmunch, Underworld are all providing desperately needed honest feedback to BCS. They're being far more helpful than the people singing 'everything is awesome'.

3 people is not everyone who own these figures. One of which does not own own the figures it seems similarly to yourself, just jumps on here to fuel his hatred. Not just our products might I add but many different products by different manufacturers, the name is quite well know within the industry of just kicking off.

I don't own the Bond figures, nor have I even seen them in hand. I'm a huge Bond fan and I'm disappointed by the in hand shots I've seen of Connery Bond. It's exactly what I've always wanted, but I know I would be disappointed if I bought it. However, I've also posted on here to say (vocally!) how good the Goldfinger and Oddjob figures look to me in pictures, especially when futzed properly.

I finally broke down and ordered Oddjob. I figured this was my last opportunity to get him.
Years ago I got on a waitlist for the Sideshow Oddjob. Stayed on the waitlist a few months until Sideshow cancelled it.

As a child I had the Gilbert James Bond 12" figure but never got Oddjob to go with him.
I figure out of all 3 figures (Gilbert, Sideshow, and Big Chief), I am finally getting the best of the 3 :)

For those that have him, can his tie be futzed or should it be replaced? if replaced, are there recommendations?
Any other futzing recommendations for Oddjob so he can look his best?

You'll love it. It may need a little futzing with the tie. What I did was tape the tie ends together, pull the tie knot tight to the shirt and tuck it in the vest, the rest of the outfit is near flawless, the pants may need ironing to sharpen the crease but that was about it for me, very little futzing.

It's good that someone from BCS chooses to post here and engage with collectors, even when facing such hostility. HT will never extend us the same courtesy. I'm looking forward to the LALD Moore figure.

Disappointed is quite different to kicking off and downright hatred for a company who have produced two figures you actually think are good? A bit strange you would be so vocal and damning towards us considering we have produced two figures you like. Also being vocal about prototypes that are earlier progress and judging paint jobs with poor lighting? If you are based in the U.K.? I would offer you to come to one of the shows we attend to show the figures in hand and talk about some of the issues you may have?

Jesus Christ this thread...

I also just want to say thanks again Greggo for not abandoning us, despite all the ridiculously over-dramatic whinging going on in here. There are so many of us that love these figures, and I guess it's all the angry people and armchair critics who are going to be the most vocal.

Really looking forward to the LaLD figures, and can't wait for the Dr. No Bond to go up for PO :rock

Thanks for the great advice. I am looking forward to Oddjob's arrival.

I too would like to thank Greggo for posting here and trying to straighten us out. He’s not required to do so and interacting with us is no easy task. We collectors are a tough lot and aren’t the friendliest people at times. I undoubtedly pushed a little harder than necessary and for my part in that I’m sorry. I’ve been frustrated by the Nosegate scandal just like everyone else involved, including BCS. This was certainly something none of us wished happened and getting anymore upset about it isn’t going to help anything. It’s time to calm down, sit back and allow BCS and the factory some time to make this right.

This kind of backlash doesn’t exist on any other threads and big cheif needs to be aware and accept it. Im not blaming Gregg for reacting the way he has I would too. And I respect him for pushing back but people are poking holes in the argument which is bound to happen and it’s ok. But he, and more importantly the company is not heeding my and other’s advice. Not that I or anything I say means anything I get that... but they are missing he point. Being combative which I again i can understand, is not the path to success.

I don’t know jack **** but one thing I’ve learned over the past year of working for what is projected to be the first trillion dollar US retailer is that earning customer Trust is everything. Blaming factories or combating customers doesn’t help that. I don’t care if your factory ****ed up. It’s YoU who sold me this thing, hot toys sells me stuff. Same factories or not I don’t Have nose rubs. work it out with your third party and stop throwing them under the buss.

Suck it up, admit you dropped the ball. That’s 25 percent of it. Tell us you are fixing it and these are the steps to how. Detailed exactly. That’s the other 75 Percent. Give people confidence in your company...

I got a Bond figure last week and I have the same problem as other fellow collectors with the nose . It has some paint missing and its shinny because of the rubbing against the package. Hope a satisfying answer and a replacement plan for those affected comes soon.

I know 6 people (me included) here in Spain who bought it, and 3 of us were affected, thats 50% of the people of an small sample.

That's a very kind and generous offer, to suggest meeting up when you've been upset by my comments. I often have to be available at weekends for work so it may be tricky, but let me know what shows you're doing this year. I would say exactly the same things to you in person as I do online.

There's no 'downright hatred' from me I'm just interested in this discussion. I think Ray is right when he says no other threads are like this. I don't think the reason for that can be a tiny handful of people 'hating' on you simply because they're bad people.

I think I'll bow out of further comment here now unless I buy one of the Bond figures.

I'm very much looking forward to the Gerry Anderson figures based on the most recent Spring fair. These are characters I have known and loved since I was a small boy(I'm 52 now)and you appear to have smacked them out of the park. They will probably be your defining work for me,and I will happily buy everything you make from these shows.Hope Parker and Penelope get their beloved FAB 1 as well!I know it's the wrong thread but I just wanted to throw a little light into the shade.

I was busy all day and just caught up on this thread now. Wow this thread went full dark side today. I was just looking up at the Bond I received, No nose rub, the suit fits fine and it posed nicely, its between two hot toys figures and A: looks like it belongs up there and B: looks proportional. Perhaps I got the best figure to roll off the line. I certainly do not believe I’m the only one happy with this purchase and looking forward to the future releases. Being a huge Dr. Who fan I’ve been watching BCS releases figures over the past few years and they listened to collectors and improved their figures as they went. I have two other BCS figure on preorder 10th and 8th Doctors and I am looking forward to them arriving after receiving Bond. In fact I get paid Wednesday and will be pre-ordering the LALD Roger Moore figure and when the 3rd Doctor shows up I will be ording that one too.

I cannot fully understand the disappointment those of you feel when you got a figure suffering from Nosegate. If you love this franchise as I do it’s probably quite frustrating. Greggo has said replacement heads will be issued, and there’s no reason to doubt him. He has been very forthcoming within this thread. Has admitted there was a problem and they are trying to fix it. On that note it does sound like BCS could be handling customer notifications in regard to replacement heads better. Perhaps Greggo will get them to organize and be better at sending you all updates and hopefully shipping dates for your replacement heads.

On the subject of the quality of this and future lines, I’m sure my first paragraph shows where I stand. The notion that BCS shouldn’t have this line is absurd. I’d like to point out there’s always figures with problems. The recent Star-Lord is arriving with stains from his coat on his neck, are you over in the Star-Lord thread calling for Hot Toys to not have the MCU license? The Grand Moff Tarkin figure’s hair isn’t grey like the prototypes was you over there saying they shouldn’t have the Star Wars License? If you’d like to look at a line that has gone to sh** head over to the Star Ace Harry Potter thread and see what we’re getting from them. The last figure released in that line didn’t even have a wand holding hand. I got it and Bond the same week, the BCS figure is miles ahead.

Lastly to Greggo, if he even checks this thread out again. This line suffered a rocky start but I believe BCS will learn from it, change what needs to be changed and LALD Bond figures will arrive without causing this all over again. I look forward to adding Not only Moore’s Bond to my collection but the Doctors I have ordered too.
