Re: Big Chief Studios Acquires James Bond License

Hopefully any LALD pre-orders are a ways off so that my payment plan for the Goldfinger three-pack will be about done.

Payment will be immediate, in hand will be a year away, just like with Goldfinger.

Not sure when they plan to unveil the Moore set, but time's a wastin' as they say considering the recent news.

Re: Big Chief Studios Acquires James Bond License

I hope so! You'd figure it will be either TSWLM or Moonraker because Jaws is a no-brainer but with my luck we'll get the silly space suit :slap

I LOVE THAT SILLY SPACESUIT. What, you want him in a blue blazer with gold buttons?

Well the navy battle suit isn't really a blazer, but yes! :exactly:

And I say that as one of the few who actually enjoys Moonraker!

Re: Big Chief Studios Acquires James Bond License

Drax wanted Goodhead to be "the first woman in space" :p

If it's Moore in the same LALD outfit as Sideshow then I'll pass.....it's just the same albeit fancier made.

Re: Big Chief Studios Acquires James Bond License

I made years ago a conversion of the battledress type navy jacket, got a turttleneck shirt and the pants to do the SWLM outfit, have it stored someplace since I gave up waiting for a very good R. Moore headsculpt...the ones that have come up in the last years...never got the 007 Moore look, in my personal opinion. Now it seems I will have to look for those pieces at home, hope this 007 Moore is in the same superb look as the upcoming Conery HS.

Re: Big Chief Studios Acquires James Bond License

I've reached out to Gregg. Baron Samedi will be in the white suit with top hat. The eventual Timothy Dalton figure will be in the tux from Daylights but they will also make the Gibraltar chutesuit as well.

Re: Big Chief Studios Acquires James Bond License

Good news on Dalton... not crazy about the white suit for Samedi (its from a background nightclub scene that's sometimes cut from TV version). He never confronted Bond in this suit.

Re: Big Chief Studios Acquires James Bond License

I actually would have been surprised if we didn't get Samedi in the white suit. Just like the second picture you posted shows, It seems like this is the primary look for the character outside of the film.

BTW, I'm very glad that BCS and Greggo are willing to share so much information about these figures, but I really do wish that Greggo would come back to this thread to share some of this upcoming info himself. It was like a breath of fresh air having him chime in on this thread, and it is a shame that it came to an end. :(

If you google Live Die Samedi, you pretty much get the skeleton get-up I believe most people associate with Bond's Baron Samedi.

Either outfit is actually pretty strange for Bond to begin with... and either will likely be very striking on the shelf... but the later does seem to be the more memorable and iconic look.

Be nice surprise if BCS actually provide both outfits since its basically a loin cloth, jacket and top hat.

The early report was that there is TWO HEADS so the half-white face on one, the skeleton on the other...

Re: Big Chief Studios Acquires James Bond License

Last of the great posters, and actually, one of the best.
I'd collected every poster up to and including DAD. That one at least had style.
I've hated all of the D.C posters.
My favorite was always Moonraker.
Unfortunately my (ex) girlfriend decided to sell my quads on eBay during my first year here!!!!
I was a little upset when I realized what she had done - to say the very least.
