I wish Sideshow had let me destroy all those damaged statues I got last year. I just was told to send them back. I wanted to ^^^^ those things up.

Here is the response on Geekologie:

Remember those Scout Trooper smashing devil-women from last week? Well, as some of you had guessed, a video released yesterday proves it was, in fact, fake. Turns out the dude was in on it the whole time and they were destroying the doll because it was already broken and they needed proof of destruction to get a replacement from Sideshow Collectibles.

Congratulations on the trickery folks, you're all a bunch of ^^^^^^^s! Do you know how many sleepless nights I've had since watching the original video? All of them. Honestly, this doesn't change my opinion of the women whatsoever, and I still suggest they be burned at the stake. Only now, the guy can join them.
Thanks to entropic soul for making me wish harm on all those involved even more now.

:lol :lol :lol

I'm surprised that the Sideshow collectin' scummers even fell for it...thought they'd know better.

I hope that this event prompts people(psycho ^^^^^es and self-righteous nerds alike) to be more introspective, and hopefully some free advertising for SSC has come out of this.

The funny thing is I know SSC does this, there have been multiple threads even asking "How should I do this?" but something about it even the acting of the girls made me fall hook, line and sinker. I guess it says more about the kind of women I know. :lol

Damn, and I thought we were uptight on here. Some of the people in that RS thread make it sound as if JoshEEE had just sold out America to Al Qeda or something. :google

JoshEEE for President.
I thought the video and it's concept was mildly funny. However the reactions have been some of the best summer entertainment for 2008.

I'm amazed by how seriously (and personally) people took and are still taking this video. All one has to see (when watching the 1st video) is the bad acting to know it's a fake. Seriously. :lol:lol:lol

Same here... :lol

Still, was pretty dumb though...

holy shat..those are the greatest nerds in the galaxie...I feel like punching some in their faces just because they have no clue about life, women or how to be a normal human.

heres one of my favorite post from a guy over there:

Even if it turns out to be a hoax it is in bad taste at best. If it is real, the level of immaturity and lack of judgment displayed is appalling. It is saddening at any rate to see how low people will sink to get their fifteen minutes of infamy on YouTube. In either case I really do feel sorry for anyone involved with any of these narcissistic people feeling the need to exhibit their own bad behavior in public; this just demonstrates the further coarsening of our society and a complete lack of respect for others. It says more about their own lack of character and self respect than anything about who they claimed wronged them.

:lol:monkey4:lol:monkey4:lol:monkey4

Now this is just about the funniest post I have ever read.:D

You're still mad because they banned you?

not at all. I got banned for telling off a dead-beat who was sitting on thousands of dollars of our money (...about 20 people to be exact) after countless lies, excuses and in the end a crap piece of ^^^^ product. Since I was the coordinator of a custom saber run and essentially made this guy popular on RS I felt it was my duty to tell him where to shove it. If you were in that run and had nothing to show for it for almost 6 months i think you'd be praising me.

BUT, aside from that, I just dont believe or buy into the whole "sheep" mentality of that forum. True collectors, not true collectors, "collect to collect", yet the owner buys multiples of most products. It's all a farce.

Seriously and this goes for everywhere, I never understand how people get that upset over this stuff, especially when it isn't even theirs. I rarely post in threads where someone is lamenting the "loss" of a collectible. Most of the "how terrible, I would be crushed" comments just make me want to laugh. I understand this stuff costs a lot of money, but damn people, it isn't like you lost a family member. I still laugh about the time I impaled my brand new UC Sauron helm into my living room floor.:lol:lol:lol

Absolutely not a reason to ban anyone. Of course, I never heard your side of the story over there. :nono

I'm seeing that duplicity now. Phil is definitely a hustler. He was quick to offer me a $40 GG bust for my .45 Shadow Trooper helm.. I declined, after learning I could get $100 for it easily. I was criticized by Grahame and others, recently, for listing my Obi TPM EE for $700-ish. Yet, you have people listing their Obi ANH Weathereds and Luke ROTJ EEs for more than that without any qualms. What the hell?

I just use the forums for dumping stuff before ebay. The community has dried up, lately, even with eFX. Some of the good guys have left the game, such as Ham Solo.

I've always respected Shadow's insight on collecting philosophy and whatnot, but apparently, he can't take a joke.

Every "true collector" wants what they missed for retail. When they want to sell something, if it has been an acceptable amount of time(I still don't know what that official time is. I think Lonnie told me 6 months once.), they feel they are allowed to scalp it. If you are under that time period, watch out.:lol:lol:lol

Yeah that's the thing - how much time should pass before I get to the fine line between scalper and "true collector who is downsizing his collection"? :lol
