Wow, I guess I got really lucky. I have one on order with a dealer and I'm pretty positive it's his only 1 because he did a super nice thing for me.

But I also have one on order with SS.

It sounds like the ES on this will be a lot smaller than 1000 if dealers are only getting 1 each (keep in mind, this may not be 1 to sell and 1 to keep as most dealers are also collectors)

I will hold onto my SS order just in case or if someone else wants it down the road.

I think people are perhaps vastly underestimating the popularity of Star Wars here. Perhaps a good comparison piece is the Predator Maquette at $999 and its combined edition size. Of course, I don't know what the final edition size will be on the Speeder Bike, but it seems logical to compare it to another piece that's similar in style/intricacy/price... have a great weekend everyone, looks like this is sold out now

I'm saying I don't know yet what it is, but out of all of our products previously offered, that's the closest in style/price to the Speeder Bike and Scout.

But then again, Star Wars is a little more popular than Predator, so your guess is as good as mine as to what the final size will be!

that would a quick estimated 800,000.00 (for one item)before expenses and what not. sideshows business plan is no joke for a collectible company. i wonder what they profit when all is said and done just on this pf. its crazy how far they have come as a co. thats may be my favorite part of ss .. the business side

Even so, if dealers were only getting one, this is virtually a SS exclusive PF. It's not like people can cancel to get one from a dealer for $100 cheaper because they are probably long gone.

With anything this size and cost, there will be alot of cancellations. I know they are saying 1st Qtr 2008 but with something this big and complex I expect in around May (of course look how that worked out with Maul )

I was seriously scambling to get it ordered because once I hit the site it was down to less then 10. I was getting a lil worried since I had one canceled it after Bobs order then got the Im and had to mad scrable to get another. But just another reason why Bob rules if he had not IMed me I would be speederless maybe.
