Ok I have played all night and half the day today. Still having a great time. I just beat Cohen and am going to see Ryan. I am loving it!
I got the game the day it came out and I've been taking my time with it. I'm making sure to check every corner of the maps, listening to every diary, researching every enemy with the camera...I like taking my time with games so I'm going to stretch it out so I can get the whole story.
I'm not big on rushing through games just to get them done,I want to enjoy the whole experience and certainly get my money's worth.

I've played a good 6-7 hours so far this weekend. I'm going through rather slow as well. I'm certainly learning what combos to use against what enemies and the Bid Daddies are getting easier with each meeting.

Ok, I don't want to check a walkthrough for fear of spoilers so maybe someone here can help. Does anyone know what the combination of the door in Twilight Fields funeral home is? If it's a major plot element to be revealed later than by all means don't say... but I've looked everywhere and can't find the combination... A cryptic hint would be juicy sweet, thanks!

i skipped that part and figured i would get the combination later. never got a chance to make it back, but oh well. i have yet to find a complete walkthrough on the net. and for some reason i cant get any of the dang research achievements to unlock.

I seem to remember that the combination to that one was scrawled on a note over on nearby shelf where I picked up a diary. Was it 5477? I can't remember. At any rate, all that is behind the door is a few ammunition rounds and maybe another diary recording. Nothing major.

There's a problem with the aspect ratio with bioshock.....there working on a fix
Not quite. Basically, when they developed the game they were developing it in widescreen, then when the time came to make the settings for fullscreen instead of adding black bars at the top and bottom or cutting off the sides they just added some stuff to the top and bottom, so the fix should make it so that widescreen users have what's in fullscreen but also some more on the sides.

Well, after reading all the good stuff here and all over the net, plus seeing the gorgeous vids of this game, I took the plunge yesterday and bought myself a 360 & Bioshock!! I was also gonna get Gears of War but they were out of stock. I played a bit of Bioshock last night, wow, what an amazing game! Still trying to get the hang of it, but I'll be kickin Splicer ass in no time!!

This is the first game on the 360 that I just can't stop playing. It is so deep and there are so many different ways to go about killing splices and big daddies. I absolutely love this game!

wise decision.... just remember to take you time and search everything. im giving it a second go around just to get another tour of rapture. and despite the rumors on gamepro from an "inside source" its not coming to the PS3. i believe the lead designer when he says it will only be on the 360.

Thanks for the heads-up Tom! Thought I'd looked everywhere but there it was, next to the coffin... Different combination entirely though - maybe they changed it for the EU version.
