Based off those photos if he had the hair and ears it would be one of the best translations to screen right up there with RDJ Stark/IM, Snipes Blade and Cavill Superman.

Shame his ego didn’t allow the full look now he just looks like The Rock.

I would imagine producers wanted his face/look as-is to best capitalize on his enormous fan base and ability to put behinds in seats. I’m no Johnson fan but he’s incredibly popular and looks exotic enough to Joe Q. Public to not require any tweaking for this role. That’s my take anyway.

According to Grace, things got ugly when Cavill refused to do the Shazam cameo. He should have seen the big picture. Maybe he could have been in the Shazam sequel as well as Black Adam. Instead he's building computers on YouTube and in some Netflix show where he doesn't talk.
