A Sparrow PF would be awesome, dunno if I would go so far as to cancel this for it though. That may be a tough decision. But really by the time that happens (if it does) I'm sure Blackbeard will be released first. Seems like it takes a bit from the announcement of the license to the first preview/preorder, let alone the release.

I really like the base plate with wrecked cannon. Very cool. The Planet of the Apes Dr. Zauis will be my first PF. I know Dr.Z's costume is wrong but It doesn't bother me so much. I really like the great coat on this figure. SideShow did a great job, congrats to all that are able to get this terror of the sea.

I agree--if Sideshow has a Jack Sparrow in the works, I would think they might wait to announce it until after this one ships. (They just got the license and the R&D on something like Jack would take a while before they were ready to put him up for order.) But there are only 200 of the exclusive Blackbeards and that's just not very many, so even if there are cancellations I don't see something with this level of quality sitting around for too long.
(Possibly the only thing I am nervous about is the appearance of the leather on the final product.)

That backstage pass just makes me even more anxoius to get him. And no way would I cancel him for Jack Sparrow.
That's true, but if it were to happen and Jack was awesome, I'd have to seriously think about canceling. Not that I wouldn't want him, it's just the money I'd have to think about. I only have two other PFs, both from movies, so I'd probably go with Jack.

I use to have Hot Toys Cannibal Jack and can't imagine how good a Premium Format would look like with all the detail. Would be awesome, but i don't think I would cancel Blackbeard. I think would be great to have two pirates....

I hear ya on that. Lack of funds has kept me from many items I would have otherwise bought. But sometimes that's a good thing.
I'll only cancel if I absolutely have too.
If they do make a Jack PF, I hope he won't be as dark as my 1/6, or Indy!

500 edition size for the regular. That seems like it may be a bit much. I was hoping for 500 TOTAL for both.
