Came here to say this myself. It's too bad that the show wasn't on a "higher up" channel. I fully believe that was a big part of why it failed, because they didn't have the free reign to get really graphic/disturbing. Which amazes me, because it shared the same network as Hannibal, which pushed the envelope without bounds for lower channel content.
