Yep, he hasn't seen it. It's everything you want from a sequel and more.

Not really.
I love it for what it is and I'm glad it wasn't a nostalgia crapfest like 99% of other modern sequels.
Doesn't mean it's perfect, but like with Terminator 2 the good parts are far more important than the faulty ones. Plus a better cut can make it a better movie.

Yeah but... Hamill was actually IN (and paid $$$ to do) the film he was ragging on, and had a major role in it. Hauer had nothing to do with 2049 at all.

That is a MASSIVE difference.

I saw Rutger Hauer at a cafe in Marina Del Rey reading a script about ten years ago. Was probably reading that one where he's nude the whole time.
