Honestly I think this will become a silent classic much like the original....

Finally saw it, loved it, every second of it.

Except the uncanny valley scene, I'm glad they acknowledged it in a classy way and ended up shooting it in the face, I have a hard time believing that was Denis' decision, probably a production imposition, but it was tolerable.

Everything else, oh lala, what a treat.

I can't say if it's better than the first one, I liked the ending of the first one much better, but I think I liked the development of this one more.

It's an Alien/Aliens, T1/T2 choice scenario, if that's not the mark of a good sequel I don't know what is.

Oh man, comfiest movie of the year.

I thought it was rude not to acknowledge your effort :lol

Still, you did better in previous attempts, had you given it a 6 or a 7 and said it was mediocre, I may have bitten, a 5 was way too easy to spot.

Keep up the good work.

I was serious about The Witch. That was no bait.

Suuure, of course you were my bro chicharrón, and I almost did bite, well done.

I see, you are now attempting to reverse bait me, using the truth against me, even though you know I was serious about the witch, but you are pretending it was bait, but you know it wasn't. Clever. :D

I am so disappointed that I didn't see this on IMAX 2D. I was supposed to go with a friend of mine who lives near the Minnesota Zoo IMAX (which I believe is the only true IMAX screen in MN. Life happened and I couldn't make it, but still seeing it in a regular theater it was one of the most gorgeous films I have ever seen. I need to
see this one more time in a theater!

Wish I didn't leave this until it was on its last day being shown in IMAX 3D. This is one I could easily watch again and again in that format without worrying if the viewing experience would diminish after each viewing -- it's such a multilayered film that multiple viewings would probably do it more justice.

When the credits rolled I quietly muttered to myself "Wow". Last time I did that anything close to that was after watching Whiplash. Definitely an experience more than just a movie, for me at least.

My buddy said "I don't want to make you feel bad, but seeing this on IMAX was one of the best cinematic experiences I have ever had". Hopefully down the line, they re-release it along with the original for a double feature on IMAX. I could not miss that.

I agree....so far only TDK matches the experience for me.

Saw it in IMAX 2D. I can no tolerate 3D anymore and regardless of how many people say it, the video quality suffers tremendously.

Sorry to hear that you missed it at the Minnesota Zoo IMAX but since it was only there two weeks you had a pretty tight window to see it. It was amazing on that screen but as an experience I wouldn't put it higher than SW OT, LOTR, or anything. And I've now seen TFA, RO, and BR 2049 all on that same massive IMAX screen and I'd still rate BR third out of that group. So I think that claims of BR 2049 in 2D IMAX being one of the greatest cinematic experiences ever have a little bit of hyperbole to them.

However it was stunning and the taller aspect ratio showed so much more footage. For my second viewing l caught it at the Showcase Icon cinema Minneapolis location (technically St. Louis Park) and while their brand new laser projector and Dolby Atmos sound was off the charts amazing l couldn't help but notice how much of the picture had been cropped compared to the IMAX version.

There's still hope though. Great Clips IMAX at Minnesota Zoo did second runs of both Rogue One and La La Land earlier this year so fingers crossed that they do the same for BR 2049 especially if it turns out to be another Fury Road that earns tons of Oscar nominations.
