Ordered...she looks AMAZING! I actually watched a ton of her movies in highschool...yes, I had a strange youth:lol

I watched tons of classic movies as a child and a teen and I'm very glad I did. It gave me a solid film background. :)

* Classic as in many decades before Star Wars, you kids. :p

On a side note, how is Blitzway's quality? I've never really seen their products in hand so I would love to hear from people who already have their products...

Had to order this one yesterday. Don't have any other Blitzway pieces so I'm really hoping that they are impressive in person.

I have their first 1:3 Bruce Lee (Game of Death), which came out great, really close to the protoype. In a few days I should be receiving their second Bruce (Enter the Dragon). There are some naysayers lamenting over a couple of details on that one, but again the sculpt looks terrific, and everyone that owns one seems to think so.

There are also Blitzway's only two 1:6 action figures, which they released before they got into statues: 'Scarface' and 'Carlito's Way' Al Pacino. The latter looks terrific for a 1:6.

ok what the hell has happened to blitzway's web site?? I just tried and got a load of Korean mumbojumbo???
?? ?? ??? · ??? ?? - ???

An avalanche of peeps trying to pre-order that Marilyn, that's what happened. :p

Lol, I said this jokingly on the ETD Bruce Lee thread yesterday, but it turned out to be true!

Sculptress K.A. Kim on her Facebook said:
Good morning~
Thanks for showing me so much support! After the marylin monroe upload last night the bliztway server was down due to overload. The notice was only in korean so many of you have asked why you couldn't access the page. I have now been notified of this. The korean notification means that the server is down and ill attend to this right away. For those of you who couldnt access the page last night please try again later.
Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience.

That's a very good sign!

Throw me in the same boat, used to scour the classic sections at blockbuster, hastings etc growing up and I like to think I'm all the better for it. A lot of movies today seem like cheap imitations imo. btw would kill for a Marx Bros set/dio :rock

This is a really nice piece...but it's hilarious how out of place she'd look on my shelves LOL.

lol, I was thinking that also. It would be hard to have just Marilyn... would have to find a seperate spot for her or hope Blitzway makes her some friends. Course it would be sick to make a custom Marilyn Black Canary or Power Girl... take that DC Bombshell line!

bro, you just did something to my brain that I will never undo.

That sounds ****ing wicked awesome! :rock

I just mentioned in the film section of finally seeing Breakfast at Tiffany's, and I would adore a Holly Golightly quarter scale. I like the black dress obviously; but the pink outfit was also stellar! :love

Amazing- alreay POed thrrough BBTS- my fitst statue- look at the details of the hands- and that body! Face is perfect..

Yeah, that's what I guessed a couple of days ago:

You're definitely wrong. This kind of statues caters to the general movie aficionado, not just the usual action/sci-fi/adventure/horror fan that statues are mainly aimed at.

I knew the name rang a bell. I just saw this beautiful 1:6 sculpt by her yesterday:

That's a talented sculptress. Beautiful, too. Check her professional Facebook account.

Stupendous- she did HT 1/4 Batman and 66 Batman- she is the MOST talented sculptor of figures around...!

Great news! Thanks!

This Monroe statue is amazing. But I don't collect 1/4 scale :gah:

Looks very nice. I'll probably be ordering. Not sure if it will go into the collection or with my wife's Barbies.

Anyone know what the Clint Eastwood is for? I'd like to get two, one for Dirty Harry and one for Jonathan Hemlock in the Eiger Sanction.

That Eastwood sculpt is for the Masterworks Dirty Harry, I think it's still available to order.
