The sculpt definitely looks like Pacino.

But the expression looks a little different. In the proto, it looked like determined "don't F with me bad ***" I'll rip your c0-ck off with my hand intesnsity.

This one looks like a desperate, tierd, and scared/schocked version of the same character.

Again.. it could be the pictures... or the way the eyes were painted. Thats what i see.

Stanlore hit it right in regards to the current expression vs.the proto. Much more intense in the proto version. Hopefully a repaint can help or I might keep the glasses on for the time being.

The new pics did not sway my opinion much, Still stand buy saying its not as good as the proto, it's a step down. Paint took a big hit and it hurt the expression maybe even the sculpt shift to production.

It's still a nice figure though and a solid offering. Can't wait for it.

Someone asked earlier what proto doesn't look better than be final release well in the case of 1/6 in most cases the final product is vastly superior to the proto.

Blitzway is a new company they have room to grow they offered a solid release and an amazing choice of character.

I'm dissapointed in the drop from the proto but it gives them a great opportunity for growth and improvement, there will undoubtably be learnings for improvement and i cant wait to see where they go from here.

Looks awesome. As good as the proto? Definitely not but great none the less. Personally feel that when I have it in hand it will look even better and a repaint will not be needed.

This is my exact opinion too. It's not as good as the proto, thats pretty clear now but there's still a lot lost in online photos. Not trying to make excuses but when I've ever taken a high res pic of my stuff uploading them and placing them online for viewing loses a lot of the crisp details.

Even though these are pretty consistent for being hand made, they still are hand made. Good chance that they could improve by the time mine arrives. Then again could get worse too. ;)

Also the prototype is a hand paint piece painted by and exceptional painter. We can hope for something close but that will always be tricking to make that level of detail through production where thousands are made. I've been painting all those Batman faces and there is a lot of variation and I'm the only painter. Tricky stuff.

I totally agree. Again not to make excuses but these guys aren't HT's or EB, yet. Considering they make about 1 figure a year they're still a small player.

Btw you mention you hope yours is improved by the time yours ships. Do you think they're shipping these in waves? I assumed they spent all that time finalizing absolutely everything before the final release.

No, I mean towards the middle or end of the assembly line. I doubt its official waves like HT but I'm sure they don't wait till the entire series is completely done before they start getting shipped from the warehouse. Im sure the Asian market gets more of the beginning stuff and The western markets towards the end.

Just a total guess on my part.

I really don't see too much of a problem with the Sculpt :dunno:dunno. Sure the quality has dropped a little but there really is no denying this is still a great looking figure. If blitzway manage to get more licenses they have the potential to be a great company who do well for themselves. I loved their scarface.

Only thing im not keen on is that waist grabber, never been a fan of waist stands, so hopefully his ankles aren't as crap as their scarface and he can support his weight.

what is that by his left hand? (the actual person) an alterantive to the waist grabber? (picture two)

Also hopefully, when you take out the waist grabber the Block it sides into it will be enough to support him free standing. so he doesn't fall backwards. (Picture 6)

(make the picture bigger)

Ah gotcha. Yeah that could make sense too.

I really dug the magnet base from scarface. I wish they stuck with that so much cleaner I wish all 1/6 companies had magnet bases

Yeah that ones a no brainer isn't it!
Joints on the arms they may never be able to get rid of.

But finding a way to stablize the figure with no stand adds a ton to the realism.

Well definetly. However Blitzway is still pretty darn impressive... not counting the Korean Girl Band they released, at only its 2nd movie release its definetly mighty fine.

I mean... how many years did it take HT or EB to get to their current level of quality in HS? Blitzway hit a homerun with their very first figure. I also like thet fact that they are still hungry, and look to improving things innovatively like the standard base.

HT changed the game, EB have dragged through the muddy trenches (with HT throwing grenades at them every step of they way). They've earned their place in the market, and are looking to increase profits. HT has their licence Kings, and EB will carve a big market with their Michael Jordan figure. They'll add more factories, more workers, more more more over time. They'll have to increase profits every year to keep it running. Blitzway.. as a fellow freak once said (dont remember who.. sorry), these companies will continue making these little gems from non-blockbusters..... until they can earn enough money to buy liceneces like Batman, Terminator, and Iron Man.
