:rotfl..i done the same thing pop....same exacty thing, i tried to pose his hand and snap...
Sorry, can I ask, the peg popped off with just movement, not when trying to remove the hand? I can deal with leaving one set of hands in for all time (changing them once to the hands I prefer), but not breakage when simply posing the hand.

I had this figure in my shopping cart at BBTS right when I saw these peg breaking pics, and it made me hesitate buying. Thanks for any info.

Don't hesitate because of that. You do not want to miss out on this fig! The pegs won't break by just posing or articulating the hands. If you are changing the hands you should definitely use a hair dryer though. If you don't that's how you could break them.

Thanks for the reply, that's what I wanted to hear! If it can take normal posing, that's good enough for me. I'll be sure to use a hairdryer like you say, I used to use hot water, but a hairdryer sounds more convenient lol.

And I agree, this figure looks incredible and I don't want to miss it, I actually had zero plans to buy it until I saw all the pics in this thread. So now I'm going to get it before BBTS runs out.

Thanks again! :wave

You got it :hi5:

Hot water does the trick too but the hair dryer is just my preference. Either way works. I'm sure that you will be changing the hands though because he comes fitted with the relaxed palms.

wow...just got in Carlito and im blown away. to start, the packaging is everything a DX is, the box is really well made and feels very sturdy. the plastic slip inside showing the 20 year anniversary is a nice touch and adds a lot to the packageing. im a big fan of this type of box. to me its a bit more luxurious than the plastic trays that are associated with a typical HT MMS release.

upon opening the box and removing the figure you are immediately blown away of how great the HS is. Arnie Kim nailed it. it is an amazing representation of Pacino as Carlito. this easily stands up to any HT HS, the paint apps might not be as good, and im hoping they can catch up in this area since the difference between their Scarface and Carlito HS is simply amazing.

you're gonna notice something else when you take this guy out of the box...the coat...it feels like high quality leather and drapes perfectly on the figure...its been said before that the tailoring is awesome and its no exaggeration it really is...from the cut of the leather coat to the details on the lining to the dimple in the tie to the cut of the pants to the belt...its mind blowing...looking at this and looking at the coat on my HT Hans Landa (which is a few years old so maybe its not a fair comparison) they arent even in the same league, the same universe. a lot of love and care went into the fabric choice and details of this coat...im still drooling over it. i havent taken the off coat but its pretty clear that the rest of the tailoring matches the coat...its really something...again this is their 2nd movie licensed figure...but its screams such high quaility you would have expected it to be from EB or HT (it might be even a little better in terms of tailoring) and not a relative new comer.

the accessories are a little on the light side, but again BW a nice touch here and uses a plastic envelope for the gold chain (real metal) and money and the alternative shirt. he also comes with the ID bracelet, and a watch (again both real metal!). he comes with 2 guns...one is the chrome one and is a black...both look good, but not HT quality certainly not a deal breaker though...and they do look good.

Im also really digging the stand...personally i think its way better than the crotch grabber that HT gives and works well, and much better than the weird thing EB includes and doesnt really work.

so to summarize...this is a fantastic figure any fan of the movie should pick this up...or if you are looking for something other than the summer blockbuster to get and want an iconic actor sitting in your detolf i would really recommend this...there is nothing about this that feels cheap, or rushed and is a real pleasure opening and inspecting and displaying.

:goodpost::exactly: Just got this and I have to agree with basically everything that was said. I do think the accessories are fine, my only nitpick would be more left hands. Other than that, this is a masterpiece of a figure, definitely a frontrunner to figure of the year.

the clothes are really super-tailored to the blitzway body. i put him on a narrow ht true type and the fit is definitely offish. the blitzway body is so dang heavy, it seems ~ real solid. if it were only it were double-jointed in the elbows.

also, those socks he's got on have some icky dye in them (if it matters).

i really really really dig this figure.

Received Carlito last Saturday, and I must say this is my favorite figure! I love the movie, and never in a million years did I think there'd be a 1/6 figure of Carlito!
I got him the same time as the HT Bane and ZCWO Better Tomorrow, but Carlito is just so much better and really is the complete package. From sculpt to materials chosen for the clothing and extras like the bottle. The box is a work of art - Wish all boxes were like this, less bulky, sturdy and really cool-
Blitzway just made this one really special. Arnie Kim did a great job and the clothing, like some of you mentioned is so well tailored and material used is all top notch.
It will be pretty hard for any company to top this one.
Looking at this one, it feels like when I first got in to 1/6. I keep looking at it - it looks so real!
Figure of the year!

I'm glad he lived up to the hype for you Guinnessfan! It deserves every bit of praise that it's getting!

BTW anyone who had issues with hand pegs don't hesitate to contact Blitzway. They are really responsive and helpful. I showed my pics and they are sending me out spare pegs and a new money grip hand (the peg broke off inside it).

They have also hooked me up in the past and replaced my Scarface chair which was warped. That process took a while but they still made good on it. This instance is going a lot smoother

I missed that, what is that technique for what exactly?
Thanks :)

He boiled some water in a tea kettle, turned it off, then briefly held the shirt above the steam and layed it flat on the counter to straighten it out with his hands. I'm guessing it might take a few times to get out some of the thicker wrinkles from something like a Thor cape, but it's the best way to do it without compromising the materials from what I've seen.

Brilliant technique ClipperKing! :wave
