Just had a chance to open this beauty up this morning. Agree with the comments concerning more left hands, but nevertheless a stunning figure and package all-around. I personally like the paleness to the face, at least to me, matches Pacino's complection in that movie. Will def. re-watch the movie again and compare the stills.

A+effort by Blitzway. I loved their Scarface, and this tops that.:clap

If they would have added two more steps to the painting process and a couple more left hands this figure would have been the best mass produced figure ever. Ever.

Wow!

He certainly looks amazing in all the photos. I was especially surprised at that shot someone posted of him and bane. Carlito looked to be the better figure hands down.

He definitely could go either way pigment-wise. There are times in the flick that he appears to have more pigment like the proto and there are other times he looks very pale like the production piece. That part never bothered me much because both are technically accurate (although the proto does appear has a higher quality paint up because of the more detailed pigmentation; accurate or not). It's the eyes that I think took the big hit from proto to production. These seem to be hand painted unlike whatever method HT uses (I think some kind of decal). The proto eye was a more accurate color and just a bit of a better job.

He is an amazing figure! I couldn't put him down yesterday. I'm going to swap out the shirt today because I love the scenes that he's wearing it in.

Of course it's based on opinion but my opinion?.... He blows Bane out of the water. I opened up Bane and was really underwhelmed off first impressions. Now I picked up Beto's Beetlejuice today .... forget it. Between Carlito & BJ Bane will sit in his box for another 2 weeks before he has another chance to grow on me.

This is one of those movies I'm real happy to see alot of fans for. Love this movie. It's got an ending like a punch in the gut. Never expected they'd ever do a 1/6 version but here we are. That's an out-of-this-world headsculpt! I agree with those who are calling it the best of the year so far.

Clipperking did a killer vid on this one. If I ever get this guy, I'm definitely using the needle technique to help open up the slots on the temples. I wonder if the steam trick will work on Supe's and Thor's capes?

It's a no thrills figure when compared to a HT figure or SS SW figure yet still one of my favourite ones in my collection. It's a superb effort.
Come on Blitzway, release a Clint Eastwood!

i got carlito and bane on the same day (that was my picture the angry orc refers to), and i have say i love them both and think bane is actually quite nice, but nice in the way i expect from hot toys ~ and i am a huge nolan freak, so i am very excited about him.

carlito is hot toys quality and then some. he exceeds expectations but i confess i wasn't expecting hot toys quality.

blitzway has proven with this that they can meet the best standard. my one quibble with the articulation of the body is a very minor one ~ everything else about him is total class.

It's funny that he's being compared to Bane (I also mentioned him in comparison to Bane) the figures hav nothing to do with eachother it must be that they dropped at the same time.

In essence I'd rate carlito a 5 out of 5 and bane a 3 out of 5.

Bane is not indicative of the figure itself though it is underwhelming part of my Feeling on that is that I thought the character itself was a little lame and cheesy, but my overall feeling is a commentary on hot toys in general. They phone it in way more than they used to. Prices soar and efforts dwindle.

Thats why a young an hungry underdog company like blitzway can be a breath of fresh air same price point but the little extras and effort which makes this seem like a luxury item. Hot toys had lost their touch a couple of years ago if you ask me. Even thouh they still put out winners too.

Probably my next pick up for sure. He and the spade j figure from dam are a nice change of pace.

we've come a long way in 1/6 over the last decade!

I missed that, what is that technique for what exactly?
Thanks :)

Anybody planning on a repaint?

I really do not have a keen eye on the paint process but for me it's perfect. I think HT tends to tan them excessively so all figures from Sparrow to Superman practically all have the same skin tone. They are a bit of a departure from the paleness of natural Caucasian skin. The tone on this Carlito and the dead on sculpt gives it an intensity that I can't help but compare to Rainman's Chigurh.

oh that's freaking me out completely! so sorry, guys! those little pegs are mean little farks.

bane has the same style wrist joints, but the color might be a wee bit off. but in case you can't find parts for carlito, there's hope.

hang in there, guys!

oh and btw, his hands are bruce lee smallish...too small if you ask me, i know hot toys are too big...but these just seem small, unless its from seeing and handling the ht ones forever...
