I can imagine that returns for defects must be a hassle and cost a lot with a box this big. Thing is gigantic.
A few months ago I thought Jazz Inc’s ‘66 Batmobile would be my last 1/6 car purchase (although I was tempted by the JL Batmobile). Now I have a BTTF2 DeLorean and a second Ecto-1 in the pipeline.
I had hoped Sideshow would carry this one, but maybe the shipping logistics were too much of a gamble. I broke down and ordered from BBTS, which is where I got the 1st Ecto. My wife was like “what the h#ll!?” when that refrigerator-sized box showed up at the front door.
I had emailed Blitzway about their Ecto-1 and asked about if Sideshow would be carrying it, here is what they responded with:
"Dear Customer,
We are very sorry about this late reply due to internal error in our mail server.
We no longer work with Sideshow.
Please visit our new distributor in the US, Bandai Namco for this product.
ECTO-1 "Ghostbusters: Afterlife", Blitzway 1/6 Scale Vehicle
Or, you can find this goods from retailers near you.
Best Regards,
Blitzway"
Sure, for an absolutely ridiculous 3 grand. No way is it worth that much.
I'll somehow cope with my $30 1/24 Jada Ecto-1.Sure, for an absolutely ridiculous 3 grand. No way is it worth that much.
If there’s anything I hate about them, it’s their use of aftermarket prices on their site.BBTS seems to have gotten old stock of a lot of things today.
I would love to have one but not at $3000.
Hasbro could do a Haslab 1/12 Ecto.I wish someone would make a 1/12 scale Ecto to go along with the Mezco figures.
