Psh, nevermind Dana and the Terror Dogs, it's all about a Louis Tully figure as Vinz Clortho with the helmet on.

:rotfl I might have to watch it again tonight. One of my all time favorite flicks. it never gets old.

Ghostbusters really is one of those films you could watch over and over and it never gets old indeed.

Oh for the love of god, Doc Brown now this? My money organ hurts

There are so many subtle comedic moments I missed when I was a kid, and its such a joy discovering them re-watching it now.

My favorite is when Venkman announces the fee to the hotel manager, and Egon puts his fingers up to his face for the price signal.

There is a cream, I believe a salve as well, for that.

It wasn't until I was older that I got Ray Stantz's line "I've worked with the public sector. They expect results".

I believe that was, "I've worked in the private sector", not public sector. I work in the public sector and they don't expect results. :lol

I think part of the reason the movie works so well is that it seamlessly blends humor with horror. That's a potent combination. And it's not like Scary Movie humor/horror, it's legit, crap-in-your-pants horror. The opening library scene was terrifying to me when I was a kid and so was the part where Dana gets abducted by Zuul. That latter scene with Dana and Zuul is still effective, even to this jaded horror fan.* But the laughs really break up the tension and it helps that the humor is so sharply written. Truly they captured lightning in a bottle.

*At night, when it's dark in my apartment, the lights in the hallway of my apartment building light up the edges of my apartment door just like in the Dana abduction scene in Ghostbusters. It's kind of awesome.

I'm with you there. I'm like that with a lot of my childhood movies. When you're older, you understand things more and catch more things. What you just said being one of them. :lol

Regarding Egon, this is one of my favorite scenes also:

...then he just continues slowly walking without saying anything. :lol

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 & 1/12 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

The four ghostbusters and a slimmer if they make him are must haves for me. The Ecto is sweet too but I don't have the space. I have a Delorian but in retrospect ghostbusters means more to me, I'd almost rather have the Ecto 1

For me there is no almost, I would much rather have an Ecto... Unfortunately (other than for my bank balance) I have no room for either!

So many cool things to look forward to seeing this weekend, I think HT are going to be hard pressed to grab my attention with whatever new offerings they have from Marvel/DC/SW unless these really fall flat on their sculpted faces.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 & 1/12 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

I'm really excited about this line! I have the Tumbler and 89 Batmobile already, (still hoping for 66 Batmobile), and I passed on the first Delorean when I saw the tease for the part 2 flying variant. Now that the Ecto-1 is coming, I will definitely be getting the the new Delorean and BTTF figure releases and all the GB line as well. Space will be an issue, but man will it be awesome to have most of my childhood favorites all displayed with their vehicles! For the first time in many years, I'm very excited again about the hobby! Doc from BTTF, and now all the GB's with Ecto! Just awesome! :clap

Okay, now I'm drawing out plans for a 1/6th scale Tobin's Spirit Guide... Blitzway, do you see what you've done? :lol

Sounds like you need to hop in that delorian and go back to cancel your order!
