Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Winston's sculpt does have a reddish tint in the brown, but the finish isn't overly shiny unless you photograph him with the flash.

Out of the box his head looked hunkered down in the suit, but pulling the sleeves and suit legs down helps to pull the collar down. Since his eyes are painted looking up, tilting his head back may be his best angle.

The detail on the tailoring and accessories is incredible.

But those stands... :slap

The worst figure support I've ever seen, and that includes Medicom. Over engineered, un-supportive and flimsy.

I'm going to use HT style oval stands instead, and use the Blitzway ones for other figures. Yet, trying to put a De Niro Heat figure on one he's too short for the lowest secure setting of the stand, and he doesn't even settle back onto the crotch grabber. The waist grabber is too high, unless you insert it upside down (the way the waist grabber goes in). And even then, it doesn't work. :lol

Might use my custom stands I have for my Mattel's

I Am Toys said in his review, which seems like months ago, that the stands were bad.

I just didn't expect them to be so bad.

It's a head scratcher. If a figure has gear on the back of their belt, or is wearing a backpack, the framework of the stand gets in the way and prevents them settling over the crotch grabber. Waist grabbers only work for certain figures as they mess up coats or pull clothing in unnaturally.

I've found some figures that I can use the stands for, but all but one of them have to be fitted to the stand, rather than the stand fitted to them as it should be.

I've just been reading the general instruction sheet (which is nice and glossy), and the Slimer part is funny:

Push both sides of the transparent bar into Slimer's bottom hole...

Yep, stands are awful. Same ones used for Tyler Durden. So damn wobbly, and that’s with nothing even posed on it. Definitely going to be getting some customs.

I say, great minds think alike! An excerpt from the hand drawn instructions I did for my custom slimer:

Provocative! lol

I'm still working on Winston.

Three times I've had everything set up on his belt, then at the point of winding the hose under it, the belt has fallen apart at the buckle. And then I have to start again. There's isn't a lot of friction with the metal bar holding the wrapped over end of belt, even after crimping the bar more tightly over it. You have to be really careful.

I'm using this as one of the reference photos:

His belt, in this and other photos, shows it to be fastened more to the side that centrally.

I've just noticed, after taking his gloves off, that he's wearing a watch.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

The hose runs through some sort of velcro strap just above the belt. Using the belts a nice substitute if the figures doesnt have that detail.

Oh, I see it now in the photo. The Blitzway suits do have that strap on the suit, but for some reason Blitzway didn't use it when they packed the figures.

The belt is very annoying. I had everything set up, went to pull the suit legs down and it fell apart for the fourth time.

...and you only have three more to go....

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

I have other stands that I will be using for these since the included stands suck.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

It's too bad about the stands. Do they at least support the proton back if used for displaying it alone?

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Does anyone know when Timewalker will receive their inventory? I figure it should be in the next week or so.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Good to know. I've been paid in full with TW for a while now. Just waiting for that shipping notice....:impatient:

Same here. I am getting a bit agitated. :gah:

Winston's finished. It's taken a lot of futzing. He looks really good.

It's going to be a while before I have the team set up together.

Because of the length of the police barrier I'm going to use my original wider display cabinets, rather than the Detolfs.

I love collecting 1/6 figures BUT not a fan of handling them much!! Its funny the waiting is the most exciting part. When they are finally “in hand” there is the “stress" that your figures have no issues and the “task" of putting things on/futzing etc.

Yours arrived! Awesome dude!
Don’t know where mine is, they are MIA. Tracking hasn’t updated since they left HK.

You can never tell how a Hong Kong delivery's going to go. Sometimes they take the direct route, and sometimes the scenic one.

Just finished putting them together. After Winston, who needed the most alteration to his belt gear, the others didn't take quite as long.

Winston seems to have the biggest fat suit. I'd have thought that honour would've gone to Ray.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Christ, Winston is dark.

The other three are too tanned as well.
