Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1
Am I missing something?
Am I missing something?
Not criticizing anyone for not opening them right away but isn't it best to at least check them for any potential damage?
I might be in the minority’s but I’ve literally never had any problem regarding damages to my figures (at least to the point of having to send it back for a replacement) or on the other hand you can look like it that every single one usually has an issue. Which they do. It’s rare I ever leave a figure as is out of the box without modding something anyways and any little paint imperfection or other defect I just fix myself along the way.
The expectations and hype for these was huge, what with the added 'K.A. Kim effect'.
Then the Winston issue dropped and expectations had to be lowered.
But looking at them up close they're stunning. Even Winston, if his skin tone does have that reddish tint. The sculpts are lifelike, and there's so many great little details in the costumes and accessories.
If the boots hadn't been moulded the set would've been taken up another notch.
However, now that I have them I'm even less inclined to get ECTO-1. The reason being, similar to Bo Shrek writing that Slimer lets the team down because he's "toyish", I think that the car would let them down. So far it's looked cheap and plasticky.
In any case will be nice to finally get the busters if for no other reason than to finally occupy the space I cleared for them several months ago.
Interesting idea Kuat. I am likely using 2 separate detolf shelves and had not planned on using the barrier unless I buy the ecto down the line. Now I will give it a shot.
I tried them first in this configuration:
But Slimer complained that he was hidden.
So I tried this instead:
Even under a number a cool white LEDs all their skin tones photograph a little darker than they look to the eye, especially Winston.
