Ordered a Black suite for this guy yesterday.. Too modern and way inaccurate, but it will have todo until a better one surface

What do you guys think about using eletrical tape to simulate the duct tape used to hold the clips together djungle style? (Im talking about the M16)

While searching ebay for an extra clip for the taped magazine look i found this.

Its not as detailed as the Hot toys M16A1, buts its movie accurate. Just a tip if you cant find the Hot toys Dutch version

Yeah, the reference pic I posted was primarily for the gun + grenade launcher, not really the clips. Because honestly, there's no right or wrong way to tape the clips together.

I noticed immediately after looking at your pic, which is also why I thought it was strange you were going to so much trouble to get the tape right when you didn't even have all the attachments. Also one of the triggers in your grenade launcher is backwards.

Depends on how movie accurate you wanna be.

But that's the problem, like you pointed out the tape placement varies from scene to scene. So there isn't a single "right way" to do it.
