What was the last Blitzway sixth scale release? I legitimately don’t even remember. Was it the Ghostbusters figures or was something else after?

Edit: looks like it may have been the Jimi Hendrix and Where’s Wally/Waldo figures.
Relatively recent actually, I think it was the Jimi Hendrix or Bill & Ted 2 Pack....

They had some decent/great releases in the past like Ghostbusters, Zorro, then some subpar ones like Hannibal (other than the crappy factory paint the rest is pretty great). Some miss and some hits here and there.

I kind of wanted their Hannibal, but I never got it. I like the character but it wasn’t necessarily a must have figure for me.

Blitzway is pretty hit or miss in terms of figures. Some good releases but a lot of really seemingly random ones. That and they release figures on such an inconsistent basis.

From memory - Zorro - then Bill and Ted is what i remember being the last ones. Don't quote me on it though

I have both, they are decent releases. The paint on the sculpts though are bad, they forgot to paint the razor behind his fingers. The head sculpt themselves are very good, you can have them along with his arms repainted like I did and they look amazing with a repaint. The mask on the straightjacket version is also inaccurate.. If you can ignore those problems and could get it for retail, go grab them

Pretty excited to see how this turns out, the Smooth Criminal from Pure Arts was awful in my opinion. Looks nothing like MJ from that era (or any other era), but the outfit and pose was nice. Even if this isn't Smooth Criminal, if they get his features right for once it'll be an instant order.

They’ve canceled more 1/6 figures over the last couple years than they’ve actually released. Jack Black, Cutthroat Island lady, and the pair from MiB International. I think we all thought they’d be the next big thing in 1/6 after their Fight Club and Ghostbuster figures. Ah well. InArt is up to bat now.

Truly one of the biggest disappointments in 1/6 scale figure history…Carlito, both Tyler Durdens, & the Ghostbusters figures are seven of my all time favorite pieces in my collection…and then…statues, cancellations, and announcements for figures that no one wants.

Blitzway certainly hasn’t announced that they are no longer making 1/6 scale figures…For my part I am just making the assumption based upon their recent track record.

If I had known, would of waited for the Blitzway statue since it is a K.A. Kim sculpt and the smaller 1/4 scale.

Just got the PureArts statue but the sculpt is lacking and 1/3 scale is larger than i would of liked - on the positive side, the jukebox and lean is the selling point of the Pure Arts.

Yeah, I'm a massive MJ fan. Especially "Smooth Criminal", but I avoided the Pure Arts release because it looks like an aging impersonator with an overbite rather than the 1987 fresh faced MJ from the original video (or even any of his tours). I was really disappointed in that sculpt, hoping that for ONCE someone gets it right.

As you say, the clothing, jukebox etc are great on the Pure Arts release. But, for one of the most photographed musicians of all time, they really dropped a nut on that sculpt.

Impersonator fits the description exactly - luckily, the fedora hat obscures most of MJ's sculpt on the Pure Arts. :lol

I have a few unlicensed 3rd party 1:6 figures where the MJ sculpt leaves a lot to be desired but the hat or sunglasses creates an illusion that the resemblance is better than reality.

K.A. Kim usually nails the likeness with her sculpts - the only one I can think where I was slightly dissapointed was the Game of Thrones Daenerys statue.

Too bad Hot Toys never completed their MJ 1:6 ine.

Yeah I have all the Hot Toys releases and bought one of the knock-off "Dancer" figures just for the Smooth Criminal outfit (which I then put on a spare "BAD" from Hot Toys) and binned the rest. If these guys get this right (no matter what era of his life) and even if it's not Smooth Criminal, I'll probably get it.

If it looks like NAVI (impersonator) then they can forget that for the likely price they'll be asking.

Blitzway are too expensive for what final product looks like. I love Bandaras' Zorro, but Blitzways attempt is just not good. For 200 USD, maybe. For 350 USD, not a chance.
I MJ hs is good, I will consider, but it needs to be really good. Isn't Inart also doing MJ?

For what can be seen on the blurred picture I am pretty sure it will be a 1:4 scale statue of Michael Jackson doing the famous stop at the beginning of the Dangerous World Tour, right before starting Jam.
In that case, that's a big YES for me !!!
The only thing I would like to know if the statue will be wearing the famous mirror glasses or not.

If it’s 1/4th scale I wonder what the price range will be. I don’t wanna spend 1000 bucks lol

The way things are, you could be right, but if it's 1/4 and not 1/3, I expect $500-700.

The last statue I bought from Blitzway was the 2nd Marilyn, and that was around $500, and the Elvis is the same, with a lot of tailoring.
