Guy, which head do you like better if you had to
choose a head? The smiling version or the non
smiling version.

Both really look awesome. Need to find a painter
now to redo the head :)

I personally think the White Prison outfit non-smiling headsculpt is great! The paint aps on mine are perfect (I do think there are different batches of both releases) My smiling sculpt is slightly more orange tinted--albeit very slightly)

DoggieDocDesigns already started on one.
Already got my order in! [emoji106][emoji106]

I wasn't even going to buy this figure but damn it, now with a accurate mask it pushed me over the edge [emoji23]

Awesome. Just what I need. I just joined this Facebook page. Hopefully I can order one later today.

Finally got around to opening the White Suit Version. I have a good handful of nitpicks that’ll sound like I hate this piece, but that’s not the case. I actually do like this fig but for this price there’s a lot of room for improvement.

The upside is the sculpt in hand doesn’t look anything close to as bad as the worst pics and videos that first started surfacing, and in fact may look even a little better in hand than the best pics and vids we’ve seen (I seem to have a not too shiny, non-orange example). It’s looks better softened in production than the slightly too wrinkled/too detailed proto, but I do think it changed shape slightly from the proto which made it lose a little likeness. Paint isn’t exactly HT quality, but is only under by a small degree. Even though I think it’s a very-good-but-not-great likeness, and I don’t think either expression truly nails the character, unlike most others the sculpt isn’t even on my nitpick list.

I think for the $40-$50 this cost more than each individual GB, the $90 this cost more than Carlito and the $110 this cost more than Scarface (I know those are older and have to adjust for inflation, but still), this easily could’ve included more. Where’s the silver platter and lamb dinner?? Where’s the tape player and/or table?? I’m assuming it’s a likeness/licensing thing, but did they really replace the sketch of Clarice with this pointless reimagined movie mini poster??? No proper arm to hold the knife? No mace? I know, except for the switch-a-roo on the Starling sketch none of this is a surprise, but just sayin’.

But no bald spot, the paperclip not being painted, the fatsuit being a bit thinner and the pants not being able to be hiked as high as in the promo pics are all downgrades from what the proto promised. Also, I think the knife and chair aren’t quite as good as what we would’ve gotten if they were done by HT.

I guess he technically is oversized but it’s not as bad as I was expecting. For example, he’s taller than Murphy (Robocop) & Tony Stark Arc Ver. but shorter than both Armory Bale Bats & Alfred, Dr, Strange, BvS Supes and several different IM suits (both older and newer). He’s may be tall for Hopkins, but couldn’t be considered “overscaled” like the MoS line or BvS Bats. I was happy to see that he’s actually a bit shorter than my iMinime Lecter build on Robbie’s gurney.

So even with all that said I still can’t say I don’t like this fig. It’s still an overall high quality set and it looks good on display. It’s friggin’ Lecter so it’s not like I wasn’t going to add this to the collection, but I think BW could’ve done a little better, especially for the price tag

CMIIW, but that's not a paperclip, that's actually part of Dr.Chilton's pen.. but yeah I get what you mean, they painted Lecter's veins in those arms, how did they missed such an important detail of it. And I agree with your review. Overall it's a good figure. :)

Right, right, the pen not a paperclip. But like you said, they did a good enough job and took the time to paint veins, I'm sure they could've painted that too.

And to add to that the paint work on the palms is kind of caked and a bit sloppy (maybe not all are like this). Another aspect that's a step down from HT.

But like I said... it's still a cool fig and I'm enjoying him on display so far in just a standing pose. Hopefully I can get him to look good in the chair and my appreciation for this piece will grow instead of crash :lol

Andy's mask looks really good but I don't really need it while I already have Robbie's. I didn't try to fit Robbie's on the BW sculpts yet. I'll go for Andy's if I don't think Robbie's works better with the BW heads.

But I'm not convinced on the accuracy of the nose holes. I always thought that the holes appeared to have some kind of film or clear sticker over them with that brownish line going across them being part of it, and not an actual slit connecting the two "nostril" holes like on Andy's. You can see in the screen shot that the connecting line actually bleeds past one of the nostrils a little and looks like it's on that clear film thing

I actually think painting a line between the nose holes on Robbie's mask would be more accurate than it being an actual slit

Hahaha, yes, I know what you're talking about. I even bought two of the white prison suit so I can choose and pick the best paint, and then sell the other one.
I always want a decent Lecter figure, it's actually on top of my list, and this one is by far the best Lecter figure available, so yeah, I am lovin it.

The sad part is, I also have the straight jacket version, and they altered the iconic mask, so it's not screen accurate now. I know there's an awesome custom mask being offered, but I just don't have the extra budget to spend right now. :(

well, somehow you've answered my comment about the mask already! Gimme that time machine!!

I think what you are seeing is the shadow cast from the mask onto his scrunched nose. The dark sections on both sides of the "band" is his nostrils.

Re: Blitzway 1/6 Scale Hannibal Lecter

Nice work Rzeznikk. That shot of him laying back and the RPF formula makes sense out of everything that was foggy in the straight on shot. The nostrils aren't open holes but drilled down from the inside to a very thin layer (that's why I thought they were holes covered by a sort of film or sticker). What does appear to be bored out and have depth is the band in-between the nostrils, and I thought that was two dimensional as well (like paint or some type of sticker). The band looks like it was a hole cut through but then was covered back up from the inside maybe?

I think to accurately pull this off on a 1/6 mask the nostrils would have to be painted and the band sculpted but not a complete hole going through. I think that Andy's run looks like it's too far along for changes

Looks like the answer is not in the past, but in the future! Lol

Hahaha, the time paradox of wisdom..

BTW I'm looking to buy some of these sculpts if anyone is selling. Interested in both smiling and white suit version

Unfortunately, I already sold the extra white prison suit Lecter. And I am selling the whole fig not just the headsculpt.. but I'll let you know if by any chance I catch these sculpts for sale online.

He just shared these with me.

Hmm, he still need to do something with that large gaping nostril holes, I think..
