I actually decided to push through and I got to a boss on dark souls 2. It felt good to finally get there but spending 4 hours, shouting at the screen and getting wound up is not fun. The feeling of finally doing it just isn't worth the trouble for me. Video games are supposed to be escapism from real life stress, not add to it.

so, feel like I've explored the first area pretty well; one exception: the first locked gate in the little mini cemetery when you first start the game - how the heck do you get in that area?

In the area where the guy is pounding on the door, there's a door where you can hear people laughing, near that house there's a bunch of crates and stuff near a fence, you can break the junk and there's a spot you can climb down through. down there there's a few hounds that you have to kill so be aware. Turn to the left and keep going, there's a house that you can walk through if you go past that there's stairs that lead to that gate. It's a shortcut to the boss--if you go through the house there's stairs on the second floor that lead directly to the bridge where the first boss is.

Game is getting a bit easier. Yes u will get ur ass kicked especially if ur new to the series but it has been rewarding. Beating down extremely tough bosses feels good man.

Wow some real douchbags on this board. I thought I'd give dark souls a try before buying bloodborne as I heard it's similar. At quarter of the price, I'm the idiot? Don't think so. Saved me money by not getting a game that will annoy the crap out of me . Enjoy dying over and over. Weirdos.

I was gonna recommend Dora's Pony Adventure Game for you, but on second thought I bet that would prove too much of a challenge too.

:lol:lol:lol

hey all - when I am looking at new duds, is there a way to compare the stats of what I am currently wearing versus what I am considering? So far, I am exiting the store, looking at my inventory then going back into the store? Seems a little bit of a pain?

I believe when you select something it will highlight the stats that it's changing, or you might press square to compare or something---I'm pretty sure there's a way to tell what it's doing.

so I played about an hour last night... did pretty good.. found only one lantern at the begin at the cathedral ... after an hour of roaming .. no lantern... I came to a bridge with 2 werewolves ... they killed... bag to the first lantern..

While I do not mind to die.. and re-try... I think its stupid that you played one hour for nothing.. is there really no save points all the way to bridge ???

There is one at the start; another on the building just up the extended ladder once you push the device up from the small graveyard (not far from beginning); one on the great bridge once you'be defeated the boss; final one by boss 2 over in the main graveyard.......so basically just two until you beat those bosses

If you die you lose your souls, at least until you go back and kill the monster that stole em. If you level up, you don't start over....inventory isn't lost aside from souls (far as I know)......get in the habit of leveling up once you get 5000 or so souls in the beginning. I got to level 20-25 pretty quickly that way

Once bosses defeated they are gone

oh I see.. I might need to take a look at my inventory and stats.. so basically its a good idea to roam around and kill henchmen and level up before going deep into that game ?

I must missed those damn lantern .. haven't seen any other then the first one :( I really could need one at the bridge before the two werewolves :(

yeah level up a bit; your character and weapons...some stuff in the dream world is not open at first; I am still looking for a sacrificial chalice for example in section 2..........there is a big hooded due near the beginning.....down across from him is 3 normal dudes - and a device you pull. Pull it and go up to stairs to the roof - the main latern is there.....the level isn't that large where it'll take forever to explore from the one lantern though

Draw the werewolves to use by throwing a pebble and then go down the stairs - they will follow you but cannot get through the door. from there, easy pickings....

I did my first invasion today - there were two of em...needless to say my victory was not assured......

I wanted to wait for reviews for this one, and now the Gamestop near my house is sold out. So I can either wait until they get more or buy a gift card to buy a digital version. I really hate digital.

yeah I like a physical copy myself, and the case has a nice double sided cover - full version of main pic, but with an awesome background

Amazon has these in stock.

go to any walmart..target... they should have it no ?
