wow thats crazy.

:lecture I agree. There's some extreme collector's too. I forget the movie, but there's a Steelbook of an Asian film that was released in Korea only. Region locked and without English subtitles or dubbed audio, but people were spending almost $50-60 to import them for their collection. Granted the cover was really awesome, but I'd likely never buy a movie I couldn't enjoy watching.

My thoughts are ... honestly, I don't get it. Its a fancy DVD box. I don't see the appeal.

SnakeDoc

THat's no different than: I don't get it. SO you like Terminator? Why do you need 3 statues of Arnold in your room?
I don't get it. It's just a movie. Why do you have $500 dollar statue sitting there? etc etc etc.....

Or...Why do you need the $1000 dollar fancy statue? Why not just get the Hasbro 6 inch toy from Toys R Us? It's the same character from the same movie??

:wink1:

Anyone have a PDF or vector drawing of a steelbook dieline? I need the inside so I can place some custom art.

THanks

Just go to google images and search for the movie in question ... change to "Large" images only. Then print that out on any paper but the the better quality the better.

Then just start cutting with scissors after a few tries you will get it. There's all sorts of crazy steelbook tips including custom art etc. here.

Steelbook metal plates of the movie can be popped off when using a thin card from the top or bottom dont try from the sides or opening as it makes it harder and easier to damage ...
