Awesome photos
@darth dennis ! Thanks for posting those. Your set up is really cool. Good review, too. The lighted base looks nice. I was worried the yellow would be muted under other lighting, but nope, it pops. The crooked HiC is noticeable, but I'm not sure it's noticeable enough to take much away from the overall presence the statue demands. Though, it does seem like something that should've been caught early in production. Considering the amount we pay for these things, QC should be catching things like that.
Decisions decisions for me. Where would you rank this among the other Boba Fett PFs,
if you own any of the others?
I'm a bit of a Fett fanatic, so I think I own most all the statues and PFs, outside an Attakus and Gentle Giant or two. I also don't have the Sideshow McQuarrie concept Fett. Of the Fett 1/4 scale statues that I have, I think I rank them as:
1. MYC Re-painted armor Fett on Throne (An incredible statue and at 100 pieces, thrilled to have it in my collection)
2. Original Sideshow ESB Bespin Platform (Matches well with Jango PF)
3. XM Studios ROTJ Fett (This is a highly stylized, almost animated version, but it's got a load of shelf presence)
4. This latest ESB Fett and Carbonite (Nits aside, this has a nice shelf presence)
5. The second ROTJ Sideshow Fett
6. Post Sarlacc Sideshow PF (This would be higher if their paint apps hadn't suffered on the production version)
7. The OG Sideshow Fett (I honestly love this PF because it's the OG, but it's age is showing)
Outside the 1/4 scale statue category, I also love the Mythos Fett. If it were 1/4 scale it would be #2 right behind the MYC. I have the HT 1/4 scale ROTJ and BOBF figures and both are excellent. Since my collection is pretty ROTJ saturated, I give the edge to the BOBF version as my favorite.
Of course, my favorite Fetts are my 9 life size I built and the six foot Kenner action figure I 3D printed and painted. Those were a three hobby I started during Covid. There's a thread somewhere out here I need to update...
