Boba Fett is my favorite Star Wars character and 42 is my favorite number. It goes back to my having read "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" in Jr. High, where the number 42 was featured in the plot. It's been my favorite number for a while and I have always wanted a statue numbered 42 out of its edition, and Fett would be the ideal piece to have with that number. It's all pretty pointless but I would be very happy to get him.

Tom, nothing is pointless when it adds non-monetary value to something, the greatest collectibles we can own carry greater importance to us than just looking cool or being rare, they touch upon something in our heart and soul that, while I don't feel we can be made whole by posessions, does complete a part of us inside.

I know Sideshow has a sense of humor in general. It would be kind of funny if they sent you 420 instead of 42.

After the rush of cancellations for Boba Plastic (over 40 on this board alone), I received an e-mail from SS stating 'estimated arrival'. Then unlike any other order I've placed, I receive a shipping notice for Boba. Item has left their warehouse.

Obviously SS doesn't want to remind people their credit card will be charged so they completely bypassed the authorization e-mail and shipped this overpriced piece of plastic as soon as they received it.

I was waiting to decide if I was going to cancel for the authorization e-mail but I guess SS wanted to try to slip one by us loyal customers. NOT COOL!

I will receive the item, and if it's not 100% to my liking, it will be returned at Sideshow's expense. That or I will cancel every remaining order I have with them. I don't like being 'tricked' into keeping a statue that has been labeled 'problem' since the announcement they were making it of less expensive material but still charging the same price. LAME!!!
