After the rush of cancellations for Boba Plastic (over 40 on this board alone), I received an e-mail from SS stating 'estimated arrival'. Then unlike any other order I've placed, I receive a shipping notice for Boba. Item has left their warehouse.

Obviously SS doesn't want to remind people their credit card will be charged so they completely bypassed the authorization e-mail and shipped this overpriced piece of plastic as soon as they received it.

I was waiting to decide if I was going to cancel for the authorization e-mail but I guess SS wanted to try to slip one by us loyal customers. NOT COOL!

I will receive the item, and if it's not 100% to my liking, it will be returned at Sideshow's expense. That or I will cancel every remaining order I have with them. I don't like being 'tricked' into keeping a statue that has been labeled 'problem' since the announcement they were making it of less expensive material but still charging the same price. LAME!!!

To be fair I recieved a email for a 3-5 day notice along with alot of other people. They have already addressed the issue of being made of plastic. At least that statue still looks great. I still dont see the big deal. Its not like I use them as weights to do arm exercises.

To be fair I recieved a email for a 3-5 day notice along with alot of other people. They have already addressed the issue of being made of plastic. At least that statue still looks great. I still dont see the big deal. Its not like I use them as weights to do arm exercises.

Well I didn't receive the e-mail, which is a load of crap. And the big deal is the price. $325 for an ABS is like spending $50,000 for a Chevy Cobalt.

In SS's defense, you knew a month ago it was made of plastic. Most people can decide in that ammont of time if they want to cancel over the issue. I do agree they seemed to get this shipped FAST. I never even got a 3-5 day notice.

I planned on keeping mine all along until I see it in hand. If I like it, it stays. If I don't, it goes back.

Hey Kodiak...sorry to hear you didn't receive an email notifying you on Boba shipping. In the 4 years I've collected with Sideshow I've always been notified. It sounds like their may be a communication gap in the email exchange between you and Sideshow. I would just contact Sideshow's customer service to trouble shoot what the problem is. I don't believe Sideshow would ever bypass notification on shipping on purpose.

In regards to shipping, if you don't like the item Sideshow takes care of shipping back to their warehouse. You seem very upset about this whole Boba thing. It sounds like it's on the way to your home so you'll be able to determine if it's a keeper. I think you may be pleasantly surprised.

Quite your *****en already. If you don't like it, send it back. It's that simple. You could even send it back and try to pick it up later cheaper if you want. Just quite crying like a little girl with a skinned knee already.

HUH? I decided to make my decision when the 3-5 day CC charge notice came. It never did. So how again does SS have a defense not notifying me before this item shipped? This is the FIRST time SS broke THEIR set protocol, and I have ordered countless times from them. Seems to me it's not just coincidence that this item has had numerous cancellations, and then it shipped without notification of the credit card charge.

I am not in the practice of returning items once they have shipped, and have never returned any of the items I've ordered from SS. Does SS cover the return shipping cost if you simply decide that you don't like it? If they don't, would you like to help my skinned knee by covering that return shipping cost? Didn't think so Mr. Answer Man.

Considering you've had a month to make up your mind, no. I've only ever had to return one item and SS send me a shipping lable. So don't worry your pretty little head about shipping it back.

Like everyone else said you have plenty of time to cancel, and if you missed and email well boo hoo. Get over it, do you always wait for the zero hour to do things, if so thats the risk you run.

And for the over 40 people canceling where did you get that number, your own poll dosen't support that number. Even if you assumed that all of those who said they were unsure did cancel that adds up to 38 which unless math has changed since I was in school is less the 40.

No but if you say over 40 and then in your very own poll have a number of 32 for those who are canceling, then yes thats wrong. Thats a big difference.

I have had my fair share of bad luck with FedEx in the past, but I have my fingers crossed this time.

With my luck, 42 is out on the wrong truck, and it will be lost by FedEx and Sideshow will have to send a replacement and in the end nobody will ever see 42. It will end up in the warehouse seen at the end of "Raiders of the Lost Ark."
